2/11/2024 7:55:42 PM Quite a battle with Brian and Jason going toe-to-toe right down to the end.
2/11/2024 7:54:59 PM Thought I was getting squeaked by a kicker because I passed on him. I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
2/11/2024 7:52:36 PM Congratulations to Brian! 4 titles in 6 years!
2/11/2024 7:50:58 PM We are witnessing two dynasties: The Chiefs and Brian A.
2/11/2024 1:24:16 PM From where I sit, looks like a 2 team shootout today between Brian and Jason. I have not received payment from Brian and son or Jon Craig. New commission rule was pay before big game or forfeit any prize money. Zelle is preferred. Takes about a minute to do…. Good luck gentlemen! My moneys on KC and Taylor.
2/11/2024 1:21:45 PM Inside the Numbers: After the Conference Championship round, Team Owners have now lost 81% of the players drafted! Superbowl Sunday, Armstrong (Brian) and Percy will have 3 players playing in the big game, Picha and Worley will have 2, Severud, Meek, Meisenheimer, and Armstrong (James) will have 1 with JC sitting this one out (with no players remaining) after posting a respectable 73 points this year. Good luck to everyone!
1/28/2024 2:48:44 PM Lamar Jackson sucks!!!!
1/21/2024 6:57:23 PM Inside the Numbers: After the Divisional round, Team Owners have now lost 60% of the players drafted! Armstrong (Brian) and Meek have 5 players remaining, Worley has 4, Picha, Percy and Craig have 3, Meisenheimer, Severud, and Armstrong (James) with 2 players remaining. Good luck to everyone in the Conference Championship round next weekend!
1/16/2024 9:31:30 AM Ken came roaring out of the gates after Wildcard Weekend, but he may have a tough time holding his lead with only a couple of quality players remaining. Very nice start for the rookie James, and he has 5 players still active. JC is the horse to watch; lots of points in the Wildcard round and lots of fire power remaining. Jason also has a chance to do some damage next weekend.
1/16/2024 9:24:21 AM The scores for the Monday games are complete. Please let me know if you see any issues. Still no Internet at home. Hopefully, it will be fixed before Saturday. -- JW
1/16/2024 8:39:48 AM Joe - I think the Russians have hacked again. I don't see my name in the current standings... So, y'all can Zelle me your $30 at Don Picha and my phone number 612-242-4547 The payouts will be $200 to the winner, $65 to second place and $5 to last place.
1/15/2024 8:31:29 PM Inside the Numbers: After Wildcard Weekend, Team Owners have lost 29% of the players drafted! Brian Armstrong has Seven players remaining, Craig and Worley with Six, Picha, Meek and James Armstrong with Five, Meisenheimer with Four, and Severud and Percy with Three player remaining.
1/15/2024 11:46:13 AM Inside the Numbers: The draft included 8 players from Baltimore, Buffalo, and San Francisco; 7 from Dallas, and Detroit; 6 from Philadelphia and Kansas City; 5 from Cleveland, and Miami; 4 from the Rams and Tampa Bay; 2 from Houston; 1 from Pittsburgh and Green Bay.
1/15/2024 9:34:18 AM FYI ... I traveled to AZ yesterday and found that my home Internet service is down. I'm working with CenturyLink to resolve the issue, but it won't get fixed today due to the MLK holiday. I had to go to a coffee shop today to enter yesterday's scores. I'll do the same tomorrow for today's games. Sorry for the delay. We should be back to normal for the games next weekend. Avoid CenturyLink at all costs - they are a bunch of clowns.
1/15/2024 9:27:58 AM All the scoring for the Saturday and Sunday games is complete. Please let me know if you see any issues. -- JW
1/13/2024 8:22:11 PM Correction ... The Buffalo game was moved to Monday, so only two games tomorrow.
1/13/2024 8:18:44 PM FYI ... There are 3 games scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, 1/14/24. I'll be traveling most of the day and, worst case, may not be able to get all the scores in until Monday. -- JW
1/12/2024 12:30:22 PM We need the biting sting of a JC roster breakdown for each team. Give the people what they want!
1/11/2024 7:01:51 PM Can someone post the Webex link?
1/11/2024 6:54:09 PM Here we go again. --MP
2/12/2023 7:32:42 PM Good game. Purdy good season.
2/12/2023 7:17:39 PM Congratulations Brian! 3 titles in 5 years. Nice job!
2/12/2023 7:16:22 PM Two monster final games clinch it. Congrats to Armstrong!
2/12/2023 6:54:35 PM It'd be nice if Hurts would give someone else a chance to score. :(
2/12/2023 5:34:02 PM I told Armstrong that the KC DEF TD will also count as six points for Hurts since he gave it to them. -- MP
2/12/2023 8:07:12 AM Attention all laggard payees: you may direct your $30 entry fee to me via PayPal at matthew.percy@comcast.net. Good luck to everyone today. -- MP
2/2/2023 6:12:48 PM I'd like to explain the problem I was trying to solve with the "Mulligan" proposal and propose a new idea ... Over the years, almost all of us have drafted a player who appeared on an injury report a day or two later. Obviously, it's more likely to happen if we draft early in the week, or when a coach "messes up" and simply doesn't do his homework, but that isn't usually the cause of the problem. More often than not, it occurs because we put our trust in the NFL injury reports, which are notoriously inaccurate, incomplete, and unreliable. Granted, with medical issues, a certain amount of misinformation is unavoidable, but there is hard evidence that some teams have purposely published erroneous information. In fact, during the 2022 regular season, the NFL fined at least 5 teams for filing false injury reports. I realize we can't fix the problem, and you can argue that it affects all of us equally, so what's the point, but it's irritating as hell when you lose a player due to a last-minute injury update. My apologies for the long rant here, but this has been a pet-peeve of mine ever since I started playing fantasy football a hundred years ago. Recently, I proposed the "Mulligan" rule as a way to help mitigate the issue. I know some of you are opposed to it, and I respect that, so I'd like to propose a different idea ... Going forward, maybe we should schedule the draft for Saturday morning on the opening weekend of the playoffs - with no mulligans. At that point, the injury reports still won't be perfect, but they will be as good as we're going to get, at least for the opening round. If Saturday morning doesn't work, we could shoot for Friday evening. What do you guys think? I'm open for suggestions, or we can just keep doing what we've been doing. --JW
1/29/2023 1:34:51 PM Blake again. Didn't intend to single out James. Decision was made, that's fine for this year. Just don't want to go down a free agent road next year or after. And, that's one guy's opinion. Majority rules
1/28/2023 7:23:05 AM Did I time travel during the draft and somehow pick a Kicker (Maher) from the 1970’s where making 40% of their kicks is considered good? Ugh. I feel like JC somehow drove by his house and got into his head while he slept. #conspiracy
1/24/2023 5:48:57 AM James here: Sorry just catching up on the comments. I am OK with putting Williams back in my lineup as it is important that everyone is OK with it. This was a tough one finding out a player who scored in week 18 and the injury report came out on him (broken back) the day after the draft, but I will "own" that bad luck. Always looked forward to this event to be able to check in on how old friends and colleagues are doing, time flies by for sure. Joe truly appreciate the work you did all these years keeping up league and website. Matt thanks for being commish this year. Don - will truly try to grab the golf clubs and make my way out to see you this year.
1/22/2023 7:28:48 PM Inside the Numbers: After the Divisional round, Team Owners have now lost 56% of the players drafted! Armstrong has Six players remaining, Severud and Worley have Five, Percy and Holweger with Four, Meisenheimer and Craig with Three remaining, while Picha and Meek have One player each to cheer for during the Conference Championship round next weekend!
1/20/2023 8:02:28 AM Blake here. FWIW- I tend to agree with JC's take. If you mess up the draft, own it. Imagine this year if somehow after the draft but before the game, TUA got cleared. It would be a mad rush to pick him up. This league has always been and should remain "set it and forget it". Free agent nonsense is for your year-long league.
1/19/2023 3:45:51 PM Inside the Numbers: After Wildcard Weekend, Team Owners have lost 26% of the players drafted! Severud, Worley, Percy, and Meisenheimer have Seven players remaining, Armstrong, and Meek with Six, Holweger with Five, Craig and Picha with Four players remaining. Eight players remain active from each of the following teams: Buffalo, Philadelphia, Kansas City, and Cincinnati. Seven remain active from Dallas, Five from Jacksonville, and finally, one little [NY] Giant[s]. Good luck to all this weekend!
1/18/2023 9:15:02 AM 86 points won this last year. Gonna take a hundo minimum this year. Great job Bucs.
1/17/2023 4:20:37 AM Hey Jason! How are you feeling about your kicker today?
1/15/2023 7:28:44 AM Waving the white flag already. Worst team record ever in serious jeopardy. Not picking last again. Joe, requesting an auto draft feature next year. I can dedicate my $5 for last place finish this year for the effort. DP
1/14/2023 8:31:25 PM Is it too late to draft asante samuel? Uh.. nevermind...
1/14/2023 8:19:34 PM I love the real-time scoring! Thanks JOE!
1/14/2023 6:23:51 PM Is it too late to draft asante samuel?
1/14/2023 6:55:00 AM The fix is in. James replaced Mike Williams with Mecole Hardman.
1/14/2023 6:05:42 AM Yeah, you can bet the Vikes will make the Giants look good!
1/12/2023 8:09:50 PM The Giants are this year's sleeper team!
1/12/2023 6:42:21 PM Inside the Numbers: The draft included 8 playears from San Francisco, Philadelphia, Kansas City, Buffalo, and Cincinnati; 7 from Dallas; 6 from Minnesota (go Vikes!); 5 from Jacksonville, and the LA Chargers; 4 from Tampa Bay; 3 from Baltimore; and 1 from Seattle, and the NY Giants
1/12/2023 4:20:27 PM The fix is in. I flip-flopped Purdy and Hurts.
1/12/2023 2:39:52 PM Ok this year I mean it! Bad luck to you scrubs! JC
1/7/2023 5:46:21 AM The Previous Results and Lifetime Rank have been updated through 2021, and last year's draft sequence, selections and scoring have been deleted. The 2022 rosters will be loaded after all 14 playoff teams have been identified.
2/27/2022 5:09:46 PM "Being the best at being the worst". Now I can hold my head high! --MP
2/25/2022 7:03:23 PM Thanks Jason! Your performance as Commissioner this year was nothing short of inspirational!! I agree - We need a face-to-face draft next year. -- JW
2/24/2022 3:05:52 PM Winnings Paid! : Joe - $135 (minus $20 from JC); Don - $20; Matt - $5. See you all next year! Hopefully from on location for the draft.....
2/21/2022 10:04:50 AM Alright - all of the $$ is in. And, in keeping things "fair and balanced", I am going to make Matt the commissioner. JC was last commissioner of those two back in 2015. Making this Matt's turn seems fair to me. If you have any objections please let me know by end of business today. I will put those into the "suggestions" bin currently being managed by your friendly, local ING Financial Network AmbASSador.
2/21/2022 8:27:09 AM Jason - FYI ... JC paid me $20.00 via Venmo. Please deduct that amount when you send the payoff for 1st place. You can send to Venmo using my email address joew@jtworley.com.
2/14/2022 9:19:19 AM Just a suggestion: $2.50 to Matt and JC owes you $17.50. Then, at the next Happy Hour, they can arm wrestle to settle who will be acting Commissioner next year.
2/14/2022 8:09:27 AM -- To have a WR and QB in the last game and come away with only four points, that has to be a new record. -- Agree! - BA :)
2/14/2022 8:05:57 AM Two things I need before I do payouts. 1) Collect $$$ from : JC 2) How we are going to handle the last place tie Once, I can get those things, then I can hand over duties for next year
2/13/2022 7:34:35 PM Joint commissioners? Hey JC - you want to flip for it? I think I deserve the duty anyway. To have a WR and QB in the last game and come away with only four points, that has to be a new record.
2/13/2022 7:08:25 PM Higbee .. hurt.. Jefferson and Henderson.. no shows... Congratulations Joe. Close down to the wire. James was close after such a big start. And dons kicker came up one short...
2/13/2022 7:05:42 PM What a finish!
2/13/2022 5:57:53 PM I see we currently have a tie for the Commissioner duties. Hmmm ... How does that work?
2/13/2022 5:04:05 PM Hey Don - Your Gay guy needs to come out big in the 2nd half.
2/13/2022 4:42:53 PM What do you mean? I'm snacking right now!
2/13/2022 3:33:10 PM Everybody getting old - no snack talk. Maybe y’all can’t stay up late enough to watch the game anymore. Or maybe we got hacked by the Russians again. Thought they’d be too busy now but?? 🍻
2/6/2022 3:04:58 PM Hey that’s a good idea. I second that.
2/6/2022 3:04:08 PM I think I’d rather have Don’s 3 Rams, especially that Gay guy. I think we should all bow out gracefully, give him the championship and save the embarrassment of the inevitable.
1/31/2022 11:43:51 AM I think I'd rather have Joe's 4 bengals and a 4 point lead.
1/31/2022 9:52:11 AM Based on my comprehensive and meticulous analysis of the situation, I predict we'll see a show-down between Armstrong and Worley for the imaginary WSSI trophy. James got off to a fast start, but he's out of bullets. So is Jason. Assuming no injuries, Brian will have 4 Rams in the Big Game and Joe will have 4 Bengals. Don has 3 remaining players and Ken has 1 (all Rams), but they have a deeper hole to climb out of. Brian is the odds-on favorite to win the top prize, which would give him 2 in a row and 3 in the last 4 years.
1/26/2022 4:48:55 PM Gabriel Davis draft selection for 30 points via NFL Next Gen Stats Powered by AWS - Stat That - Amazon AWS!!!
1/25/2022 5:40:54 AM Nominations for worse first pick this year? Aaron Rodgers- clueless and pointless. Luckiest pick this year - Gabriella Davis - I saw her in Joes player load, but I thought she was head cheerleader??? My bad.
1/23/2022 5:30:10 AM I should have known the Packers would be a dud in the playoffs.
1/22/2022 4:23:04 PM What the hell!! Who the F is supposed to be blocking for Burrows! Cincy's offensive line sucks!!
1/21/2022 8:12:15 AM Titans v Bengals looks to be a pivotal game in the battle to be next year's commish. Mize v Percy for all the glory, winner can still contend, loser gets a government issued photo of Abe.
1/18/2022 6:46:10 AM Players Lost: 4- Percy, 3- Meek, Severud, 2-Mize, Picha 1-Worley, JC 0- Holweger, Armstrong
1/17/2022 8:25:35 PM And Mr. Picha jumps into the fray with a vengeance!
1/17/2022 6:27:06 PM I would like to trade Henderson Jr for McKinnon...
1/16/2022 6:06:09 PM Steelers d was the pick we all needed!
1/16/2022 5:16:41 PM It’s early, but with a SF win, it looks like its shaping up to be Holweger’s to lose. Could this be the year that Team St Cloud finally takes home the trophy? If we had an actual trophy….
1/16/2022 11:38:48 AM The stats from the draft are interesting. I'm surprised the Rams had more players selected than any other team. That seems risky considering they are only favored by 3.5 points in the opening round of the playoffs.
1/16/2022 7:50:15 AM 37 points from one game? That has to be a record. Incredible.
1/16/2022 5:23:09 AM Well James is off to a nice start.
1/15/2022 12:03:00 PM NFL Team Draft Summary:… Number of Players Team 9 LA Rams 8 Dallas 8 Tampa Bay 8 Green Bay 7 Kansas City 7 Tennessee 7 Buffalo 6 Cincinnati 4 San Francisco 3 Las Vegas 2 New England 1 Philadelphia 1 Pittsburgh 1 Arizona
1/13/2022 10:54:03 AM I sort of prefer "Virtual" JC. Might be a good thing to make annual.
1/13/2022 8:46:44 AM Who is on point to text JC before his pick? Joe can you "adjust the random" so JC has two picks in a row. Ala the last pick? Might make life easier for us all. Which was always Don's goal in life............
1/13/2022 7:15:40 AM TLDR: Joe has it all covered.
1/8/2022 8:36:23 AM To avoid any confusion, I want to clarify how the playoff rosters will be loaded for each team. On nfl.com, players are categorized as follows: Active, Reserve/Non-Football Injury, Reserve/COVID-19, Reserve/Designated to Return, Reserve/Injured, Reserve/Physically Unable to Perform, Practice Squad, Practice Squad/Injured, Practice Squad/COVID-19, and Practice Squad/Exception Protected. All players in the Active and Reserve categories will be loaded to the site. All Practice Squad categories will be ignored and not loaded. Please note: I start loading playoff rosters 1-2 weeks in advance of our draft and players may move to/from the Practice Squad at the last moment, so it's possible you may want to draft a player that doesn't appear on our site. Never fear, we have a quick work-around we can use during the draft to accommodate that situation.
2/10/2021 8:35:16 PM Having no chance at winning, I thought I’d still see a good game. Clearly it was one of the least competitive in years. Seems you can load up on stars, start playing the second half of the year and dominate the playoffs. NBA, meet your identical twin, the NFL. Thanks for all the work again Joe!
2/8/2021 2:17:37 PM LOL! I know what you mean about confusing your kids. I have the same problem with my wife!
2/8/2021 9:16:54 AM Congrats Brian! Following what the NFL did with Lombardi, I need someone to do a quick hologram Sverdlin to present the trophy. Please bill Worley directly for your time, thanks!
2/8/2021 7:02:55 AM Who would have thought that the Chiefs would get shut out of the end zone . . .Thanks for another great year. . . my kids still get confused when I cheer for a team and then do a 180 and say "Not that guy . . . stop him!" - BA
2/7/2021 7:22:30 PM Correction: $155.00 to Brian, $20.00 to Joe, and $5.00 to Jason.
2/7/2021 7:21:11 PM With his 4th title, Brian moves into a tie with JC for 2nd place on the all-time win list.
2/7/2021 7:19:20 PM Total payouts = $180.00. $155.00 to Brian, $25.00 to a slug named Joe, and $5.00 to Jason.
2/7/2021 7:15:58 PM Congratulations to Brian!!
2/4/2021 5:34:47 AM 'Armstrong has the strong arm on us.' -- I see what you did there . .
2/1/2021 6:08:00 PM Here's the list of coaches and number of remaining players as we head into Super Bowl weekend: Brian 7 Jon 3 Blake 2 Jason 2 Don 1 Joe 1 Matt 1 James 0 Ken 0
1/28/2021 3:48:40 PM Armstrong has the strong arm on us. Any payout for 4th? James weeping when the cheese melted. Some day man, some day. Jc
1/22/2021 9:13:53 AM Brian has an astonishing 7 players remaining, but he needs Mahomes to make a quick recovery and Tampa to pull off an upset at Lambeau.
1/22/2021 9:09:13 AM James has some firepower with 4 remaining players, but he needs the green and gold to knock off Tampa and advance to the "big show".
1/22/2021 9:06:37 AM Ken's hopes are riding on the arm of his only remaining player - Josh Allen. He desperately needs a Buffalo upset this week.
1/22/2021 9:05:30 AM At this point, it appears the only viable contenders for the coveted Sverdlin trophy are Ken, James and Brian.
1/22/2021 8:54:28 AM Here's the list of coaches and number of remaining players as we head into the AFC/NFC Title Round: Brian 7 Don 4 James 4 Jason 4 Joe 4 Jon 4 Matt 4 Blake 2 Ken 1
1/17/2021 3:09:27 PM Andy Reid with the cantaloupes!
1/16/2021 4:33:21 PM James and Matt are in the hunt.
1/16/2021 4:14:37 PM The Rams pulled off the old 'hook and lateral' play for a 2 point conversion. Impressive!
1/14/2021 12:00:11 PM Severud sportin' Woods and a Chubb. He's really excited about his team this year.
1/13/2021 7:19:10 PM Here's the list of NFL Teams and number of remaining players for Divisional Round: KC 9 Green Bay 9 Tampa Bay 8 Buffalo 8 New Orleans 7 Baltimore 6 LA Rams 3 and finally Cleveland with one - Chubb!
1/13/2021 2:02:25 PM Here's the list of coaches and number of remaining players as we head into the Divisional Round: Brian 8 Joe 7 James 6 Blake 5 Don 5 Jason 5 Jon 5 Ken 5 Matt 5
1/13/2021 11:52:23 AM Yeah, I didn’t do my research on kickers as I expected to get another kicker. I assumed that when I was “forced” to take the Tennessee kicker I would only have the current/active kicker. It does get more complicated than our “friendly” league usually requires to know if a player is “active” or not, especially with some positions and with COVID this year. Ultimately, my fault and I will be dropping my lawsuit, mostly because I appreciate the work you put in on this and I wouldn’t want to do it. That said, as you guys get old and more senile, we might want to stick to active roster players going forward.
1/12/2021 6:01:17 PM Don - On a serious note, how did you end up drafting Sloman? Did you think he had been activated and was going to play? Did you just click on the wrong guy? Something else? The reason I'm asking is because I want to determine if loading the entire roster for each team (active and non-active players) is causing more confusion than it's worth. Please note: Sloman is on Tennessee's roster, but he was not on their ACTIVE roster when I loaded that team to our site. 3-4 years ago, one of us (can't remember exactly who) wanted to draft a player that didn't appear on our site because he wasn't on his team's active roster. To facilitate that request and move on to the next pick, we had the coach pick a player that nobody else had any intention of drafting and then I manually updated his picks in the database after the draft. I think that is when I started loading the expanded rosters from the NFL site. Maybe we should go back to just loading the active rosters. I'm open to whatever you guys want to do.
1/12/2021 5:45:21 PM Ha-Ha! Sam and I are ready. Bring it on! Maybe you should try to invoke the 25th amendment in your formal complaint and see if you can get me removed as the site support guy? Or perhaps you need to draw up articles of impeachment and submit them to the Board of Directors. Just a thought ...
1/11/2021 1:37:28 PM Bastard guy. And I thought you were the only trustworthy one in this group of miscreants. First I find out my president stretches the truth, i.e., lies, and now this. I am encouraging my supporters to march to your and Sams house - have alcohol ready. I am officially lodging a formal compliant with Valarie and Kevin L as honorary members of the WSSI FF board of directors.
1/10/2021 8:52:06 PM For what it's worth, I lost both of my RBs to injuries this week and only got 7 points out of them.
1/10/2021 8:50:26 PM Yeah, Sam Sloman is my neighbor. I threw his name on the Tennessee roster just to see if anyone would fall for it.
1/10/2021 6:30:26 PM So I knew I had a horseshit team before games started, but already down my 2 rbs with zero points, and apparently I picked a Tennessee kicker whose not on their roster??? Joe, was that a decoy to try and throw off the reigning champ? Cuz apparently it worked. I could have at least invoked the Meek rule had I known. At least I didn’t bet on Pittsbu....oh shit.
1/10/2021 4:27:48 PM Kenny kicking our lily a$$es. I stand by my claim that Chicago could be worst playoff team in history. Go Tampa Bay! jc
1/10/2021 2:02:38 PM Saints injury report is bull sh!t
1/9/2021 7:21:58 PM With 46 points, I have one PAT yet to record this year!!!
1/9/2021 6:11:31 PM Ken's lifetime average is 47
1/9/2021 1:29:16 PM And Ken jumps out to an early lead ...
1/6/2021 8:13:44 PM My cell is 612-987-2352. -- JW

2/11/2020 11:48:30 AM Congratulations Don! If you send the plane, I'll ride in it . . .
2/5/2020 7:00:32 AM Reminder that second place gets his money back and dead last gets $5. Balance to the champ!
2/2/2020 9:08:44 PM I want to thank my teammates, my coaches, my opponents, and my ex wife’s for teaching me that if hang in there, 18 years can fly by and you can possibly find that acorn. Thanks to Joe again for running a Russian-free, time tested website. I’m going to the Disney store! Happy hour anyone?
2/2/2020 8:16:56 PM Matt: Yay, I set a personal best high score! Don: Hold my beer.
2/2/2020 8:12:03 PM Congratulations to the Boss Man!!
2/2/2020 5:55:45 PM Don is on his way toward triple digits. That hasn't happened in 6 years.
2/2/2020 6:57:10 AM Oh, and Joe will be the Commissioner next year, not Ken. Joe has two players left, but they won't produce any points today and Ken will jump into 8th place.
2/2/2020 6:54:16 AM Super Bowl Prediction - Mostert and Kelce won't be enough to help Blake overcome Don's 9 point lead, especially since Don still has Mahomes, Hill and the KC defense in play.
1/26/2020 12:09:44 PM As we are in uncharted territory, would there be a formal application and interview process for back-to-back commissioner-ships?
1/26/2020 12:04:49 PM It is a “special” year. I thought maybe the Russians had hacked the site again based on the lack of good smack talk we have all become accustomed to come to expect from this group. If I can only eek out a first ever win, I can retire a day and a half earlier than planned. Regardless of how this year turns out, I think we should try to get a happy hour together. Need to celebrate that we have been together this long. Brian, I am arranging that crop duster plane ride to get you here in the event I win. Otherwise it’s on Severud.
1/24/2020 4:07:45 PM Picha efforting toward his first title. Severud working on an unprecedented FIFTH commissioner-ship. This is a special year.
1/19/2020 7:33:57 PM I'm just here for the lifetime stats-- Blake
1/13/2020 10:46:16 AM I’m in Arizona for my daughters wedding enjoying these playoffs, unfortunately without the Vikings again. Sorry for all you Baltimore wagon jumpers - that loud thump was all of you falling off. Long live King Ma-homey!!
1/13/2020 8:41:26 AM Following Chinese new year it has been declared the year of the Picha.
1/12/2020 12:19:37 AM The playoffs are wild!
1/5/2020 9:24:13 PM After wild card weekend, 32% of Wussie FFL drafted players have been eliminated. There was a call made to league officials as only 8 teams were listed under the current standings page. Upon further review, it was confirmed that Severud had not registered a point during wild card weekend and therefore wasn't listed under the current standings...
1/5/2020 8:23:15 PM Ugh, I lost my defense. Damn you Kyle Rudolph!
1/5/2020 4:05:18 PM As shitty as my draft may have been, I’ve scored more than Severud did all of last year so I’m a happy camper. More so with the Vikings win. Cook looks pretty good for a first Vikings pick now doesn’t he? 😄
1/5/2020 2:50:26 PM #SKOL
1/5/2020 2:35:09 PM The Vikes just eliminated 4 of our top 7 draft picks.
1/5/2020 7:43:52 AM It looks like JC got up early this morning and posted some smack-talk!
1/5/2020 7:06:06 AM Historically speaking, no one dominates wild card weekend like JC.
1/4/2020 9:39:03 PM 15% of Wussie FFL drafted players have been eliminated! 30% of Wussie FFL drafted players playing on Sunday!
1/4/2020 9:26:49 PM Ouch! That loss by New England really hurts!
1/4/2020 7:02:45 PM And we're off and running with JC jumping out to an early lead thanks to Deshaun Watson.
2/4/2019 8:08:09 AM Sweet, I drafted the Super Bowl MVP. That ought to be good for at least... oh yeah, zero points.
2/3/2019 8:24:04 PM Thank you all. First I'd like to thank the academy ... and of course the man upstairs. IMO probably the worst superbowl I've seen in recent memory. MVP goes to the punter. Percy should have had it . . that said . . . checks can be made payable to Brian Armstrong ...
2/3/2019 8:09:31 PM Great season everyone! So fun to see Armstrong win the nail biter.
2/3/2019 8:08:16 PM Matt's football teams: so many times the bridesmaid and never the bride.
2/3/2019 8:08:14 PM Congratulations Brian!!
2/3/2019 8:07:53 PM Brian, Matt, and Don in a battle royale, but Matt's kicker goes wide left.
2/3/2019 8:05:45 PM He missed it! Percy has it in the bag and he missed it!
2/1/2019 10:07:39 AM How did we manage to end up with seven us all within six points of one another?
1/21/2019 7:23:44 PM I've said it before, RAM tough! Let's go Rams!
1/21/2019 10:12:18 AM Guessing the chance of the Pats winning it 2-0 with a safety is unlikely.
1/20/2019 8:44:21 PM Wow... Still a close race. I'm looking for a super bowl filled with field goals where Armstrong and Percy battle for the title.
1/20/2019 6:02:40 PM New Orleans got screwed!!!! The officials should have called pass interference on the Rams in that late drive. The Saints should be going to the Super Bowl.
1/20/2019 7:00:39 AM Here's a clue: The prediction was posted by the guy who is going into the title games just one rung up from the bottom of the ladder.
1/16/2019 2:44:50 PM JC looking good. Ken could go from worst to first if Goff goes off this week.
1/14/2019 10:07:18 AM Twice people have finished last with 16 points. Is that record in jeopardy? Also, who put in the "prediction" post? Very Nostradamus-esque. Identify yourself and take a bow!
1/14/2019 9:53:43 AM Foles - 4th to last pick good for 18 pts. Doubtful that there is a better pick thus far . . . well done Mr. Craig.
1/14/2019 7:34:32 AM Joe, Matt and Blake have the QB+K formula dialed up, yet all are chasing currently. This board is stacking up for a nice finish with many people in contention (at least it looks that way now).
1/13/2019 5:57:59 PM Hey, where did all you guys get all those points?
1/12/2019 11:09:09 AM RAM tough! Let's go Rams!
1/11/2019 1:32:56 PM Prediction: All four home teams will win this weekend, which means: Blake will lose 3 players and have 3 remaining. Brian will lose 2 players and have 3 remaining. Don will lose 2 players and have 3 remaining. James will lose 5 players and have 1 remaining. Jason will lose 3 players and have 3 remaining. Joe will lose 2 players and have 5 remaining. Jon will lose 3 players and have 3 remaining. Ken will lose 1 player and have 4 remaining. Matt will lose 1 player and have 6 remaining. Conclusion: James needs the Charges vs. Patriots to turn into a shoot-out or his grip on 1st place will be in jeopardy.
1/7/2019 7:52:35 AM "The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step."-- Lao Tzu... and more recently Ken and Blake.
1/6/2019 2:49:15 PM James jumps to the top of the leader board. Meanwhile, Matt and Joe are AWOL.
1/5/2019 9:46:02 PM A little bit of trivia - 94 points were awarded in today's games. 49 of them belonged to undrafted players. Geesh!!
1/5/2019 12:00:00 PM Yes, and Thielen, correct?
1/3/2019 5:54:24 PM ...I thought I had selected Diggs?
1/3/2019 12:34:23 PM JC and Matt - I flipped the 33rd and 34th overall picks, as well as the 52nd and 53rd picks. Please let me know if you see any issues. -- JW
1/3/2019 12:19:39 PM Mediocre Marvin just got fired. What are you trying to say?
1/2/2019 12:47:39 PM Just noticed, through 15 years Picha has never won, but never finished last either. This level of sustained mediocrity is truly remarkable. Great job Don! Marvin Lewis would be proud!
2/6/2018 1:57:53 PM Thanks everyone for the prompt payments. The money has been delivered to JC via Pony Express
2/4/2018 9:52:11 PM What a game gentlemen! The world is right again with DieNasty on top!
2/4/2018 9:46:04 PM Cheer up Don. If the Eagles can win a title then someday you and I can too! -- MP
2/4/2018 9:23:18 PM Good game guys. Congrats to JC. His record of titles is just like Tom Brady's, only better!
2/4/2018 9:06:00 PM What a game!
2/4/2018 8:40:09 PM Need more field goals!
2/4/2018 8:15:53 PM Here we go ... Its the 3rd quarter and Percy is making his move ...
1/21/2018 10:42:03 PM Well, that was disappointing!
1/21/2018 5:12:03 PM Crap...you just can't bet against the pats-BA
1/21/2018 5:10:43 PM Guys - FYI ... I will be traveling this evening during the Viking game with no access to a computer. I will enter the scoring for that game later this evening, or tomorrow morning at the latest. -- JW
1/15/2018 9:14:03 AM Ha ha. It looks like I am well positioned to match my historical average of 56 points scored with no title! At this point I'm liking Joe's chances. -- MP
1/14/2018 7:46:50 PM That was a finish for the ages!!
1/14/2018 10:43:45 AM It’s no surprise the Russians would try and hack the top rated fantasy playoff site in WSSI history. Some conspiracy theorists are speculating that fear over team Picha starting to make their move into another top 5 finish has other teams willing to pay basement dwelling hackers anything to stop them. Thanks Joe for keeping WSSI FF, and America safe.
1/14/2018 7:10:32 AM Lots of scores for Picha and Percy yesterday! And JC's kicker kept him in the running.
1/7/2018 8:48:00 PM Giddyup! Looks like anyone's game still.
1/7/2018 11:17:04 AM Holweger well on his way from worst to first. Atlanta!
1/4/2018 1:58:20 PM Good draft everyone. Looking forward to another season of heartache.
1/4/2018 1:49:52 PM Literally the only way Ken can field a contender is to not show up.
1/4/2018 12:19:47 PM I need my tech team
1/3/2018 10:02:41 AM We cut now to a live shot over at Picha draft headquarters. image of a burning $20 US bill featuring Andrew Jackson
1/3/2018 8:52:35 AM Thanks again Joe for getting this set-up. I’m proud to say I was able to contribute to you finally winning last year as payoff for all your years of dedicated service. I look forward to another year with a middle of the road finish, and I still won’t use PayPal as a protest for not drafting like real men - in a bar.
1/1/2018 9:25:42 AM Also, the links showing the Previous Results and Lifetime Rank have been updated to reflect the results through 2016. As always, please let me know if I F-d anything up. -- JW
1/1/2018 9:24:19 AM The 2017 playoff rosters have been loaded to the site. We are a Go for the draft! -- JW
2/6/2017 9:19:06 PM Thanks guys! It just goes to show that you can screw up your draft picks and still get lucky. That was quite a game yesterday! -- JW
2/6/2017 2:12:19 PM Congrats also to James. That's the highest score for any last place team in the history of this league!!
2/6/2017 9:31:54 AM Congrats Joe! What a fun game that was enhanced by all of the post-season fantasy implications. Good stuff. That has to be the first win for someone without a QB or Kicker in the big game.
2/5/2017 9:40:08 PM Incredible, our final league game was every bit as exciting as the real thing. Congratulations to Joe! Now please tell me you take PayPal...
2/5/2017 9:28:28 PM Congrats Joe!!!!
2/5/2017 8:45:40 PM And Ken makes his move ...
2/5/2017 8:37:53 PM Cripes, at this point I think it is more a case of which one of doesn't want to lose than which of us wants to win.
2/5/2017 8:35:05 PM Jason is clinging to a 1 point lead over Ken with 9:44 remaining. And Matt is only 3 points back. Should be an exciting finish!
2/5/2017 8:16:21 PM Real-time scoring...love it!
2/5/2017 8:12:50 PM I've got this board figured out now. Let's re-draft and start again. Everybody in?
1/31/2017 3:01:57 PM Blake is paid.
1/26/2017 3:35:37 PM 15 points? 63-47=16 last time I checked. IF you wanted to say, there are 14 points in the middle (48-62), that would be true.
1/25/2017 5:04:40 PM Every single person has at LEAST one person left for the Superbowl. Blake and Ken have 4. Matt has 3. Jason, Don and Jon have 2. Brian , James and Joe have 1. With current standings separated by 15 points . . . Lots of ways this could go.
1/24/2017 10:15:55 AM This is going to end with an old fashioned Kick off! Matt and Ken look like the odds on favorites to win this year based on having the last two remaining 3 or 1 guys. 2017 - Year of the kicker!
1/23/2017 9:52:14 AM Agree, this is the tightest matchup I've seen in the 10 years I've been playing. Kinda neat . . . except Meek is on top once again. P.S. James didn't get robbed, that wasn't a touchdown . . besides, if Pitt can't punch it in from one foot, send 'em home.
1/22/2017 8:38:24 PM Only a 15 point spread between the top team and the bottom. Going into the Super Bowl has that ever happened before?
1/22/2017 7:29:42 PM Pardon the pun but ... Jesse James got robbed!
1/22/2017 5:35:29 PM Doing the dirty bird all night long baby!
1/22/2017 4:15:58 PM Thanks Atlanta. That'll work
1/17/2017 1:51:36 PM PLEASE Atlanta, save us from two weeks of pre-Super Bowl Rodgers hype. I can't handle it.
1/15/2017 10:08:38 PM Wow! What a pair of playoff games today! Good stuff.
1/15/2017 9:45:21 AM Gotta admit I didn't watch the games yesterday but my kids kept track of that Seattle game. As they're describing Seattle going down the tubes to me I'm saying, "Stop. No more updates. Every year I suck at Wussie FF and this just proves the point." So they stopped and I didn't pay attention again until this morning. At first I couldn't even find my name on the standings list, it never occurred to me to look up.
1/14/2017 11:46:22 PM Trump wins Atlanta wins.. and Percy takes the lead. 2017 gunna b 1 helluva year.
1/14/2017 11:08:31 PM Percy with the hidden player of 2017.
1/14/2017 3:04:33 PM What time is the Oakland game?
1/12/2017 6:38:10 PM Hmm ... Is someone missing in the standings?
1/9/2017 8:27:05 AM JC within 4 points of his 2016 total... Could be in the 20s this season! You go girl!
1/8/2017 7:54:23 PM When does Oakland play agan?
1/8/2017 6:49:08 PM Beckham sucks!!
1/8/2017 6:29:06 PM When I said Jody nelson... I meant Randall cobb....
1/7/2017 10:12:11 PM Lions suck!!
1/6/2017 9:37:36 AM Good draft yesterday men. Thanks for changing the time for me, and your continued commitment to this league. Interesting draft. When everyone zigs (NE), Meekster Zags (virtually all NFC). It should be interesting. I've hitched my wagon to a rookie QB. That's always a winning postseason strategy. JC please post your address for payment 1985 style.
1/3/2017 10:21:27 AM
1/2/2017 3:41:58 PM Also, the Previous Results and Lifetime Rank pages have been updated to reflect the results through 2015. Please let me know if you see any errors. -- JW
1/2/2017 3:40:08 PM Mr. Commissioner - The 2016 playoff rosters have been loaded to the site. We are good-to-Go for the draft! -- JW
2/9/2016 11:39:47 AM I agree . . . thank god there wasn't a tie. - BA
2/8/2016 8:39:56 PM Thank god there wasn't a tie. Money to come out shortly.
2/8/2016 9:16:44 AM Crazy year. Not only did the #1 overall pick fail to score a point, #2 did as well. Unreal as the patriarch of this league ties his own record for low points.
2/8/2016 8:18:21 AM Always a fun way to end the football season with a WSSI playoff, a dumb luck winner, a gracious loser, and an NFL favorite losing. Congrats to BA and big thanks to Joe for doing this again and allowing me to once again go into the off-season knowing I wasn't the biggest loser.
2/7/2016 10:11:36 PM Most suspenseful superbowl for me ever. BA
2/7/2016 9:53:24 PM Wow, good drama. Sorry I came up on the wrong end of it but congrats to BA! - Blake
2/7/2016 9:05:47 PM Go for TWO!!!!
2/7/2016 8:08:15 PM DAMN U MCMANUS!!!!!!
2/7/2016 8:03:13 PM C'Mon non athlete kicker, bring it home!
1/28/2016 11:20:16 AM Man that meaningless last Brady to Gronk TD really hurts. The Mizeman could have been a contender!
1/27/2016 4:22:28 PM Don't remember voting. Thought this was totalitarian regime. One Blake to rule them all.
1/25/2016 6:40:41 PM According to Article 132.45.b in the official by-laws: "All players not involved in a tie must cough up the extra dough required to make all winners whole". You all had a chance to vote on the bylaws, remember?
1/25/2016 3:38:21 PM What do we do in the event of 1st, 2nd, or last ending in a tie? Do we cut the payout for that place? Or, do we take money from the other places? Or, is there a tie breaker that I don't know about?
1/25/2016 9:12:43 AM I can't wait for Blake to be 1 pt from the lead, only to have his kicker miss a PAT and have him lose. 2016 NFL Playoffs. #WhereKickersGoToDie
1/25/2016 9:10:51 AM -Annual WSSI Dues Report- Paid : Matt, JC, Don, Joe, Blake, James, and Ken. Not Paid : Brian and Meek. This internet update was brought to you by Brutus.
1/25/2016 9:09:13 AM James has paid.
1/25/2016 9:05:47 AM This seems so easy when we draft. I always pick the best players. "We're not last, we're not last!"....
1/24/2016 9:09:23 PM And Matt . . Matt is done too. So to rephrase that . it's still anybody's game ... except Matt and Jon. . . . and probably James.
1/24/2016 9:06:25 PM Anybody except Jon . . Jon is done . . .
1/24/2016 9:05:54 PM Big Joe has 4 players left down by 20. Don and Jon each have 3 players left unfortunately for Jon, none of his 3 players seem to play . . . Meek has 2 players left down by 18. Blake, Ken and James still alive with 1 player each. Matt and Brian raced to be the first players done with 0 players left in the superbowl . . but BA will still be tuning in to see if his band of misfits can hang on to their 11 point lead over Blake and his kicker. Still anybody's game.
1/21/2016 9:41:56 AM Blake paid.
1/19/2016 5:38:16 PM -Annual WSSI Dues Report- Paid : Matt, JC, Don, Joe and Ken. Not Paid : Blake, James, Brian, and Meek. This internet update was brought to you by Brutus.
1/19/2016 5:35:29 PM Matt has paid.
1/17/2016 7:00:42 PM Joe and Don each with 5 players left. Brian and James each have 4 players left. Blake, Jason and Jon each have 3 players left. Matt and Ken with 2 players each.
1/17/2016 4:19:15 PM My stay on top of the leader board proved as short as Sverdlin. You are welcome for the donation--- Mize
1/16/2016 10:49:39 PM It's looking like a runaway for Armstrong......
1/12/2016 4:14:34 PM Even. But, I lost the money line ($190) on the Vikings on a $100 bet. I also lost a 7 team parlay when Big Ben got knocked out. ($1800). So close.
1/12/2016 3:29:22 PM
1/12/2016 3:27:09 PM It's like the tortoise vs the hare(less). Can we get a Vegas update from Meekster? Total won or lost...
1/12/2016 11:42:45 AM Quick count shows Percy and Armstrong no one out yet, Mize with the lead but 4 players out. JC with 3 out. Frickin Seahawks
1/10/2016 7:04:36 PM Laces out Marino!
1/10/2016 5:42:34 PM From the moment they brought out Bud Grant they were cursed to repeat history.
1/10/2016 3:19:05 PM I'm prepared to finance a "hit" on Blair Walsh. Any takers?
1/8/2016 7:56:30 PM James, Blake and Ken - I fixed the draft sequence to reflect your selections of Mason Crosby, Kirk Cousins and Cincy DEF, respectively. Please double-check your selections and let me know if you see any issues.
1/7/2016 11:14:33 PM For paypal, is it cymeek10@Yahoo.com?
1/7/2016 8:00:12 PM JC paid.
1/7/2016 7:30:11 PM Joe paid.
1/7/2016 7:29:54 PM Ken and Don paid.
1/7/2016 6:21:09 PM that was sarcasm by the way . . . it didn't translate that well in plain text
1/7/2016 6:16:28 PM take your time . . .
1/7/2016 6:08:50 PM Sounds good
1/7/2016 6:01:07 PM 5 in attendance. Waiting on 2 to show. Then, we will connect with the phone-a-friends.
1/4/2016 2:11:27 PM Thanks Joe. Your webification of workoffs.xls remains a seminal moment in the proud 13-year history of this league. When is the Wussie FFL app slated to be released?
12/24/2015 9:37:28 AM The Previous Results and Lifetime Rank pages have been updated to reflect the results for 2014. Please let me know if you see any errors. -- JW
2/9/2015 2:56:27 PM Pay JW. That way I only have to get my $ from Meek. You stay away from Mrs. Mizey! -Blake
2/8/2015 10:20:30 PM I'm so confused. I was going to pay the real brains behind the draft strategy, Mrs Mizey, you still want me to pay JW?
2/6/2015 11:19:30 AM Meek you owe me $15. Just a reminder that kneecapping starts March 1st followed by thumbs on the 15th. - Blake
2/4/2015 6:31:38 PM Don - You owe me $20.00 at 25% interest ... per week. And if I think you're going to skip out, I'll send Quito out to find you. Ha-ha!! Just kidding ... Hold it until the next Happy Hour.
2/4/2015 9:39:32 AM Payment update. Severud sent me (thanks) $100 and Armstrong sent me $20. So Worley, Me, Severud, Armstrong, Percy and Holweger all paid. For prizes, Worley is due his $20 back, Meek is due $5. So I think if JC pays me (I know where he works), Meek pays me $15 and Picha pays JTWorley, we should be good. Thanks everyone for another good year. Nice work on the site JT.
2/2/2015 1:15:07 PM Hey Joe: not bad on you getting second either. That has to feel good. - MP
2/2/2015 8:59:57 AM Thanks gents for another good year. Glad to see the world has righted itself and I am back on top. The Meek years will go down as a dark time in this pool's history. Onward and upward.- mize
2/2/2015 8:21:46 AM Blake, you should see my payment today at your paypal address. It's in Taco Johns coupons. Enjoy. -- BA
2/1/2015 11:09:06 PM Way to go Blake!!! Brian, Don and Jason can pay Blake directly @ blakemize@yahoo.com. Congrats to Jason "Mr. 19 pts" as he is now officially The Commish!
2/1/2015 10:02:34 PM Congratulations to the Mizerly one for a dominating performance. It was a great playoff, with many twists and turns along the way. Long live the WUSSIE offs! Has anyone seen my wallet? jc
2/1/2015 9:43:57 PM Congratulations to Blake on his record-setting year!
1/20/2015 8:56:53 AM I for one, am pretty disappointed with Seattle v New England in the SB. Dont' get me wrong, I'm glad to be in the driver's seat for the $$, but who am I rooting for? Katy Perry? --Blake
1/19/2015 9:50:33 AM I feel like I was struck with a Blount instrument
1/19/2015 8:01:35 AM Turn out the lights, the party's over.
1/18/2015 8:25:24 PM Yet another Scorer's Alert: Tom Brady threw a TD to an offensive lineman named Nate Solder. The pass and PAT were recorded. The reception was not.
1/18/2015 6:35:08 PM Scorer's Alert: As you know, punters and offensive lineman are not included in the rosters on this site. Therefore, the Seattle TD from Jon Ryan to Garry Gilliam will not appear in the scoring log. A single point was awarded for that play - to Steven Hauschka for the PAT.

1/12/2015 9:58:21 AM Inside the #'s - B to the A edition. Joe is going to find it a bit tough to hang on to his 16 point lead with only the TE from Seattle left the rest of the way. Blake looks good down 16 with 5 players left. Brian is hanging on with 5 players left down 21. If colts win next week he could still be in it. James has a tough row to hoe with 3 players left down 29 and will likely be passed by Mr. Percy who has 5 layers left and is also down 29. Rounding out the top 9 . . .out of 9 . . . Ken is on life support with 4 players left back 32. JC would need two earth shattering games from Brady and a ton of field goals from Seattle, but stranger things have happened. He's down 35 with 4 players left. Mr. Picha is lost in the woods with 3 players left down 41. I think the question on everyone's mind is can he hold off the MEEK who is circles the drain with 1 lonely player left on the field down 47. Meek would need 8 touchdowns out of Vereen over the next two games which is as likely as Blake suiting up and scoring a field goal for the packers. My money is on Blake to close the gap and take home the cash. Go Colts!
1/11/2015 7:02:32 PM Meek!!!!!!!!!!!!! Penthouse to outhouse. Commish potential this year. #shocking
1/11/2015 5:21:07 PM Nice lead JW and time to hang on. My neck is already sore looking up from the bottom of the well. Lassie, go get Timmy!
1/11/2015 4:04:47 PM Dez Bryant got screwed!!!!!!!
1/11/2015 1:03:33 PM Have you ever seen something that is so absolutely shocking that it freezes you in your chair? Imagine my horror when I saw the standings this morning with JTW on top. jc
1/10/2015 2:30:54 PM I like the way it looks having my name at the top of the heap. I think I'll take a screen shot and frame it so I can hang it in my office. This board isn't about money ... It's about prestige. -- JW
1/10/2015 2:28:05 PM The Call Center opened a ticket for you and flagged it as 'Urgent'. The issue was routed to Bharat for remediation. He deployed a code change and deleted all extraneous messages. You will receive an email shortly with instructions for filling out a brief survey regarding our quality of service.
1/8/2015 7:55:05 AM Is there an 800 number I call to open a ticket with some Indian dude to fix this? Thanks, I'll hang up and listen.
1/5/2015 6:35:29 PM OK, I think we've proven that the Add button will post an empty message on this page. Can we move on now? Geesh!!!
1/5/2015 8:58:26 AM Joe, is Terrance Williams your MVP or is it the crooked officiating crew that pulled the Cowgirls butts out of the fire? I smell a scandal. Chris Christie is a cowboys fan. Coincidence? Never trust a morbidly obese politician...
1/4/2015 7:51:16 PM Well, it wasn't pretty, but Dallas managed to slip past the stumble-bums from Detroit. Now it's on to Green Bay to knock off yet another pathetic excuse for a team from the NFC North.
1/4/2015 7:48:34 PM I fixed the issue with the sort sequence in the Lifetime Rank and fired the individual who was responsible for the error. That means Blake is ahead of JC in the Avg column ... for now. -- JW
1/3/2015 10:47:57 PM Inside the Numbers: After the action Saturday, nine players were eliminated while ten players (four on Baltimore and six on Carolina) advanced. 20 players are on the field Sunday, seven of those players from both Dallas and Indy! Only two players from Detroit and four from Cincinnati. Any predictions on upsets?!
1/2/2015 8:06:19 AM It wouldn't be a wussie playoff without the in-depth commentary from JC. This month can we also look forward to Monday morning summaries? -- MP
12/30/2014 8:47:28 PM Inside the Numbers: Draft Summary Part 2 (The fun part) Picha - Lynch a solid pick at 1. I always love a guy who shuns the media after firing up a doobie the size of Cleveland. Grade B. Severud - Ring ring. Hello Ken? This is last place calling, do you remember me? Pretty good squad this year. Oh it pains me to say that. Grade B+. Worley - Book em Gano. I haven't seen this many Cowboys since Brokeback mountain, Blake's favorite flick. Grade B. Craig - It's going to be a very Brady New year. Nothing like going with the chalk. I had that one saved in my Horses 2004 folder. Grade C+. Holweger - Thank You Hilton was a sneaky pick. You must have seen my WUSSIE 2014 Playoff folder. Grade B+. Meisenheimer - Wilson pick, outstanding. Gronk even better. From there it caves in like an Adam Sandler movie. Craig will pass Mize in winning percentage this year. Joe, don't touch the sort button. Grade C. Meek - Ring Ring. Hello Jason? This is first place calling. I want to break up with you. Squad is threatening though. B+ Percy - Once again leads the draft in white guys. You know what that means. Make the check out now. Grade C. Armstrong - I am familiar with one guy on your squad and his name is lady...luck. C- Great Draft fellas. Good luck to all. Keep the message board alive. Happy New Year! jc
12/30/2014 1:57:33 PM Inside the numbers: Draft Summary. Of the 72 players drafted, 9 were from NE and Den, 8 Sea, 7 from IND, GB, Dal, and Pit, 6 from Carolina, 4 from Cin and Bal, while only two from Ari and Det. From a coach perspective, there are five cases where there are 3 players from an NFL team with a specific coach, Blake has 3 from NE, Jason has 3 from Den, Joe has 3 from Dallas and The Commish has 3 from both GB and Pit. Good luck to all!
12/30/2014 1:40:09 PM BTW- this is Blake. I'm trying to build up the appearance of a following for my blog to aid in my ditching corporate life some day. As such I'd appreciate a "like" on facebook, or a follow at my site. So if you are interested... http://facebook.com/raiseyoureb or http://raiseyourebenezer.com Thanks.
12/30/2014 1:19:16 PM Good to chat with you clowns. Another successful post-season is off and running. Have a great new year's. In the words of the immortal Jeff Montgomery's email footer "No response necessary"
12/30/2014 1:12:38 PM Great draft and good hearing form you all. In looking at my team I feel comfortable predicting another 8th place finish.
12/28/2014 7:22:55 PM Commissioner Severud - FYI ... Last year's results have been deleted from the site and I uploaded the 2014 playoff rosters. The links for Previous Results and Lifetime Rank have been updated. We're good to go for the draft at 12pm on 12/30/14. -- JW
2/3/2014 12:52:34 PM This year tied for lowest winning point total ever. 83. We should all be ashamed. Especially the Bengals.
2/3/2014 9:30:40 AM 2nd place gets their money back. MORAL VICTORY! SISTER KISSING!
2/2/2014 9:05:59 PM Congratulations to Jason - again!!
2/2/2014 9:01:23 PM We may want to consider renaming this league from Wussie to Meekster.
2/2/2014 8:55:46 PM Wow. That was really close. I thought Blake was going to win for sure.
2/2/2014 7:41:50 PM Ah, very nice. Can't believe how Blake is making his run.
2/2/2014 7:39:28 PM I don't update the scores manually any more ... It's totally automated now. :)
2/2/2014 7:37:44 PM Joe, are you updating these stats in real time? That's service!
1/27/2014 9:59:33 AM Joe, when are you going to update scores to reflect the pro bowl last night? That Brees to Jimmy Graham td puts me solidly back in this thing!
1/24/2014 11:28:14 PM Pete Carroll: "Marshawn's hurt. Guess we'll just have to kick our way to victory."
1/24/2014 9:34:00 PM Is this leagues's message board officially dead? If so, did JC kill it?
1/16/2014 1:46:37 PM WHERE ARE JC's WORKOFFS.XLS UPDATES? IT'S THE ONLY REASON I AM STILL IN THIS LEAGUE.
1/13/2014 12:25:02 PM Meek is going for "one for the thumb" SERIOUSLY people. Five titles and he's not even a founding member. How is he building this dynasty? Feel free to do some soul-searching.
1/13/2014 12:23:32 PM Good to see the horseshoe is still wedged in Meek's cheeks. What the heck? JC, we need your updates, please upload post haste! What do you think I pay $20 for every year?
1/13/2014 7:17:20 AM Hey - anybody else want lottery number picks from the guy that picked NE RB of the week Pepe La Blount?
1/12/2014 4:11:32 PM Hey guys, when do the Eagles play again?!
1/12/2014 9:51:27 AM When it comes to fantasy football, I'm just a shell of the man I used to be. :(
1/12/2014 8:23:13 AM Has anybody seen my fantasy team??
1/12/2014 8:03:53 AM I know I don't have a chance in hell of winning this board, but I can always get a job modeling suits and ties!
1/10/2014 2:42:53 PM How many points does Joe get for the Bengals OC getting a new job at WSH? Feels like at least 2.
1/5/2014 9:57:18 PM
1/5/2014 9:57:17 PM That's what happens when you have Andy Ponder at QB. Nice face first dive for another turnover. So much for number 1 WR Green and number 1 RB Lacy. Good thing Manning can throw 7 TDs a game....
1/5/2014 3:25:30 PM Dalton and the Bengals laid a bit fat turd in the playoffs - again!! They were a 7 point pick playing on their home field and couldn't beat a mediocre team. That's what happens when you turn the ball over 4 times. Oh well, there's always next year. --JW
1/5/2014 3:19:57 PM How about them Bengals, Joe!!! I ALMOST feel guilty about all the work you do on this site. But I'll get over it. - BA
1/5/2014 9:48:54 AM Hey Blake, do you still hate your team?
1/4/2014 10:51:10 PM I added a new column to the Lifetime Rank page. It shows the number of times each player has won the board. Due to space limitations, I named it "Wins" instead of "Championships". Let me know if that isn't what you had in mind. --JW
1/4/2014 10:29:01 PM High scoring games on Day 1. A total of 139 points were scored in two games. In previous years, it took roughly 90-95 points to win the board. This year, it may take well over 100.
1/3/2014 4:54:33 PM I got an injury. How many replacements can I get for P.Thomas? - JM
1/3/2014 10:48:35 AM Sure, no problem. I'll try to add that sometime this weekend. --JW
1/2/2014 2:00:24 PM Any chance we can get another column on the Lifetime Rank page for "Championships"
1/2/2014 1:58:42 PM Remind me, $20 or $25?
1/2/2014 1:15:11 PM Thank you all for participating. My address is : 635 Timberline Drive Polk City, Iowa 50226 Paypal ID is armstb01@gmail.com BA
1/2/2014 11:23:10 AM testing
1/1/2014 10:13:38 AM Mr. Commissioner - Last year's results have been archived and the playoff rosters for 2013 have been loaded to the site. The board is ready to go and the draft will commence at 12pm on 1/2/14. --JW
2/4/2013 11:09:24 PM According to the official scoring, Team "Not Drafted" won by a long shot...boy does our drafting suck...no one drafted the Super Bowl MVP!? What a bunch of Wussie's! See ya next year! Not Drafted 230 Jason Meek 88 Jon Craig 75 Don Picha 63 Blake M. 62 Ken Severud 60 Joe Worley 58 James Holweger 46 Matt Percy 37 Brian A. 28
2/4/2013 11:06:00 PM When did Picha upgrade his computer to the Tandy 360mhz?
2/4/2013 2:25:32 PM Congratulations to Jason for winning the board - again!! -- JW
2/4/2013 1:22:48 PM The only consolation from the Super Bowl is that I won't ever have to see or hear Ray Lewis again.
2/3/2013 9:48:05 PM I'm not gonna lie, I was on massive amounts of deer antler spray during our draft. -jm
2/3/2013 4:13:38 PM I meant Ray Lewis' PRAYERS. Now I just jinxed myself. Congratulations Jason.
2/3/2013 4:09:12 PM Good luck getting Picha to pay thru pay pal, I don't think his Tandy 360mhz computer has the bandwidth. Now lets get down to business. Big tilt coming up in two hours and I need serious points to destroy the evil empire. Can this be done if I don't have Ray Lewis' payers? I do believe I can. I have a dream. jc
1/29/2013 4:39:45 PM I'd add that if Meek pays before you, you need to do some serious soul searching.
1/29/2013 4:38:55 PM Per Leaguesafe. If you haven't paid, don't be a deadbeat. Thumbs will be broken.

1/17/2013 jon craig has made a $20.00 payment.
1/16/2013 Jason Meek has made a $20.00 payment.
1/15/2013 Brian Armstrong has made a $20.00 payment. Joe Worley has made a $20.00 payment.
1/14/2013 Blake Meisenheimer has made a $20.00 payment.
1/11/2013 Kenneth Severud has made a $20.00 payment. Matt Percy has made a $20.00 payment.
1/25/2013 4:43:38 PM Next year I'm letting Don pick my players from the road. - BA
1/21/2013 11:13:18 PM Number of Players still active... Jon Craig 4 James Holweger 2 Jason Meek 2 Ken Severud 1 Don Picha 1 Blake M. 1 Joe Worley 1 Brian A. 0 Matt Percy 0
1/17/2013 8:41:36 AM I may not have any players left, but I think I can still back into 1st place. MP
1/16/2013 9:43:03 AM Yet another scoring correction ... Trindon Holliday returned a punt and a kick-off for TD's in the Denver game last Saturday. I recorded the TD's for Holliday, but I neglected to record them for the Denver defense, too. Please note: In this league, any scoring by a special teams player is credited to both the player and his team's defense. That means, if both the player and the defense were drafted, the points will be doubled. In this case, the points are not doubled because no one drafted Holliday. However, since Matt drafted the Denver defense, I should have credited him with 12 points. Matt's score has been updated on the site. Just a reminder ... You can click the All Scoring button on the Current Standings page to view the official scoring for each game. Please feel free to double-check the scoring and let me know if I've f'd anything else up. -- JW
1/15/2013 3:19:45 PM Can I get my 12 points for the two return TDs that Denver scored? I need all the help I can get in my Toilet Bowl with Armstrong. And my money is on Ken to repeat. - mp
1/14/2013 4:47:41 PM Hey guys - I f'd up the scoring for the Seattle game. I missed the TD and FG that happened in the last 30 seconds. I was on the road and forgot to enter them when I got back home. My apologies to Jason and Don who were shorted some points. The totals on the site have been updated. Please let me know if you ever think the scoring is incorrect. Sincerely, your tired and overworked bookkeeper, JW
1/14/2013 4:10:51 PM I couldn't agree more

1/14/2013 4:06:57 PM Nice "JC is going to win it" post written no doubt by the mulleted halftard himself. Sadly for JC, the road to the championship is not paved with Tight Ends and Defenses. No, one must follow the QBs to the pot of gold.

1/14/2013 3:56:16 PM I am pretty excited for the Armstrong vs Percy - Gutter-off. Percy is dead in the water, and Armstrong has 3 souls left. Will he or won't he score any points. Can we gamble on this? I am feeling lucky.... - jm
1/14/2013 10:53:36 AM The latest line in Vegas says that JC is the odds-on favorite to win this thing. Jason had a good weekend, but he's running out of gas - He won't win the board. You heard it here first ... Off the record, on the QT, and very hush-hush.
1/14/2013 10:39:01 AM I haven't seen much defense in the playoffs so far. It seems like there has been more scoring than usual, although it hasn't helped me at all.
1/13/2013 9:57:23 PM JT Worley and Assoc - these updates are the best. I say we go nationwide with this beeyotch next year. We each throw in 50k and lets get it done. I'd like to see a bit more participation in the weekly rippings. Mize, I'm looking at you. Meekster, I'd like to see you relax on the scoring binges. Honestly, there's only so much we can take without showing up at your door with torches and pitchforks. The rest of you, gird up your loins and prepare for the homestretch battle.
1/13/2013 7:21:55 PM Inside the numbers: Number of Players still active Jon Craig 5 Ken Severud 5 Blake M. 4 James Holweger 4 Brian A. 3 Joe Worley 3 Jason Meek 3 Don Picha 2 Matt Percy 0
1/10/2013 8:18:42 AM Here's some of the scuttlebutt on the SF vs. GB game ... "James Jones had 14 touchdowns this season. That placed him atop the NFL leaderboard for regular season touchdown receptions. The 784 receiving yards he accumulated were a career high, as were the 64 catches. Most impressively given his past, he went 16 games with close to no dropped passes—having only two to his record in 2012. He was targeted 98 total times and his catch percentage was a career-best 65.3 percent. The former third-round pick from San Jose State is a matchup problem for any defense, as he plays much bigger than his 6’1” frame would suggest. Aaron Rodgers trusts him and that trust was rewarded this season. Good luck, San Francisco—he’s a tough cover." That has to put a smile on Matt's face.
1/9/2013 4:54:59 PM JC, you're kicker may be hurt, but my QB already underwent knee surgery so cry me a riva' - BA
1/9/2013 7:34:22 AM How pathetic. How can a kicker get hurt in his leg? It's his only responsibility in his life. It's like me saying, i'm not showing up to work today, my job hurts. Or Peter North saying, I can't work today, I sprained my schvanz. criminy. - jc
1/8/2013 6:30:30 PM Well, that's great to hear! Sorry for whining, but I just lost my kicker (Hauschka for Seattle) because he has an 'owie' on his leg. What a puss! Seattle signed Ryan Longwell today to take his place throughout the playoffs. -- JW
1/7/2013 12:53:10 PM Yes Mcgee and Alex "I'll never see the ball again" Green, were both retarded picks - there was so much left to choose from I don't know I was thinking. And the loss of dignity comment would hurt more if I wasn't among so many dignified football experts as y'all, as they say down south....
1/7/2013 12:40:27 PM Nevermind. I thought we got 6pts for a passing TD in this league. I guess its only 4pts. 1pt for a 2pt Conv. pass seems more than fair. -jm
1/7/2013 10:51:31 AM Picha, call the cops back you are getting robbed again. This time of $20 and your dignity. Though let's face it, the dignity was gone long ago. And are you really complaining that the makeup pick to mask your retarded drafting of McGahee isn't a good enough player?
1/7/2013 10:18:48 AM Quick question: Why are Passing 2 pt conversions only worth 1pt? A TD pass is worth 6 points on the scoreboard, and 6 pts on the fantasy board. Is this how we usually play this? Also, I am about to get murdered in the next round of the playoffs so I need all the help I can get. -jm
1/6/2013 7:52:59 PM Good first round, gentlemen. Meek - looks like Stephanie has re-inserted rabitt's feet and horshoes to their rightful place. Don - sorry about your place in SC, looks like the methheads are also located in places other than where my cabin is. jc
1/6/2013 7:06:47 PM Meeks ability to pick post season teams is like cleaning out the south side of grandpa's barn. a buncha Sh!t.
1/6/2013 5:24:37 PM Despite the sound (and deserved) flogging I took for the crap roster I have, I can always claim I only drafted half of it. You guys all get some credit too... Can't even find a RB worth a shit (or with a pulse - who is Alex frickin' packer man anyway?), but i am at least getting 20 bucks worth of entertainment from these postings. And seriously thanks for the kind words - I would have rather spent the hour and a half getting crap in person from you guys for my complete lack of preparation/competence for this draft, than talking to police and restoration man in South Carolina.
1/5/2013 7:40:48 AM Don's roster has been updated. Willis McGahee has been replaced with Alex Green.
1/5/2013 7:38:52 AM 50 shades of white? If Forsett and Ridley are white guys, they sure have a helluva nice tan.
1/4/2013 6:32:20 PM Draft Analysis Boy, it never gets old ripping your draft picks. I played FFL with my little nephew this last year, and he looks like Roger Goodell compared to you creeps. The next time you walk by a mirror, take a glimpse and see if FFL is really what you want to spend your money on. Lets start at the top: Mize - gallant effort this year, but why throw good money after bad? Last years disaster will look like a weekend at the beach after this tsunami of slop sucks you down into the whirlpool of another distant, last place finish. You've got more junk on your team than Fred Sanford. JT Worley and Assoc - The last time I saw this many white guys on a team, I was at a conference in Skokie, IL. I'm naming your squad 50 shades of white. Someday you'll take first place. That day is well in the future. BA - I'm actually impressed, not too much to rip here. Are dreams of '07 dancing through your head? Your snatching of AP with the 21st overall pick smacks of FFL genius. Or is it FFL savant? I'm going out on a limb and guessing the latter. James - Also solid, but eternally disappointed with your first overall. You of all people taking a ButtPack with your first pick. I'm discount doublechecking you off of my 'dudes i want to hang out with' list. Matt - Matt, Matt, Matt. Not only am I disgusted with your onslaught of green and gold, I also see your tradition of mediocracy firmly entrenched in 2013. Don't you know? The road to success is never paved with green and gold. Kenny - I just finished up my therapy sessions. They stemmed from you winning this thing last year. I thought for sure the apocolypse was upon us when you brought home the title last year. Turns out I just ate a bad burrito. The good news is that my shrink is now in his own therapy because of his unbelief of you winning this thing. So I get a cheaper rate. Not a bad draft this year. You sucked up Crabtree in the right spot. Kudos. Meekster - sure I could throttle you with Stephanie jokes all day long. But what would that really prove? That you're a whipped, shell of a man that cries out for acceptance by stooping to every whim of his wife at any given time? I can't go there. But, as usual, your portrayal of an absolute drafting idiot was perfected again this year. Say hi to Mize in next to last place. Picha - I would've suggested you attended your robbery claim in person. You would have spared us all the excruciating pain of watching a ridiculous player magically appearing on the draft board under your name. It's cool though, I'll take your 20 bucks. That leaves us with DieNasty. See you on the winners board. Vegas Fav: BA Good luck to all. Keep the smack board alive.
1/4/2013 10:42:21 AM Boo yeah! Bring on the borscht.
1/4/2013 10:38:55 AM Yeah, no one ever invited me either.
1/4/2013 10:37:10 AM hey guys, can I play this year?
1/4/2013 10:33:26 AM Commish Mize here. I have paypal, but I don't use it. I will look into setting up a leaguesafe account.

I think after the super bowl we should have a league banquet at Franky's. We can distribute the prize money and house a few triple-chili-cheeseburgers with bacon.
1/3/2013 2:34:53 PM Any chance we conduct all the money transfers this year via Paypal or LeagueSafe? I am horrible writing checks. I prefer to use the internet to make up much of my slack.
1/3/2013 2:32:41 PM Wow. Who took the time to write all of that. Reveal yourself "man who has nothing to do at work"!!! -jm
1/2/2013 3:27:42 PM The Coaches tab seems to be missing something. Namely coach bios. I took the liberty of writing a few for you. You are welcome. Coach Bios Don Picha- nicknamed “Donation Don” for his annual $20 charitable contribution to this league. His fantasy acumen is only trumped by his fashion sense. “Does this bright orange dolphins coat clash with my fake Oakleys?” Jon Craig- Once a force of nature in this league, JC has clearly rested on his laurels. By rested on his laurels I mean routinely mailing it in on draft day and not even taking time to post his “musings” about each coach. If he’s not good for comic relief, what exactly is his value proposition? Andrea wrestles with this question daily. Matt Percy- Last relevant in this league circa 2004, Percy’s claim to fame is his innate ability to continue to fleece the latest iteration of Reliastar for a weekly paycheck. The name of the company keeps changing, but the sci-fi nerd writing the code stays the same. Ken Severud- Inexplicably crowned the champion last year, Ken’s miraculous ascension and 2011 title did little to improve his lifetime ranking keeping him dangerously close to Herda-level. Expect him to revert to the mean this season. Blake Meisenheimer- Angry curmudgeon who hasn’t won cash in this thing for years, his only saving grace is his ability to alienate the other players with his witty repartee. Of late it is increasing light on the witty, and has been re-branded retardee. James Holweger- 11th in the lifetime rank he presumably keeps playing strictly for the chance to interact with city-folk who haven’t had their gene-pool tainted by Stearn’s County Syndrome (google it if you dare). Jason Meek- Finally saw his winning streak snapped last year shortly after crapping out two horseshoes, three rabbit’s feet and a leprechaun. While he’d be the odds on favorite in a bench press contest, his brawn will do him little good this year or in his new role as a father. Joe Worley- If only JTWorley & Associates IT Consulting got as much of his attention as the JTWorley post-season fantasy site, the guy might actually be able to fund his kid’s college bill. As it stands today however, winning this pool and/or plasma sales are his only hope. Brian Armstrong- Holweger may be a hillbilly for living in St Clod, but to Brian he’s downright cosmopolitan. Brian not only has to dodge cattle on his commute to work he also must remember to scrape the manure off his shoes once he gets there.
12/22/2012 4:59:06 PM The site looks great, Joe. Nice job as usual. Why can't the rest of you stiffs be more like Joe? I can feel it this year mee boys, DieNasty will be hoisting the cup come February. jc
12/22/2012 10:27:29 AM The web site still reflects the final standings from 2011. The playoff rosters for 2012 will be uploaded as soon as all the matchups are set, which probably won't happen until Week 17. -- JW
5/8/2012 12:20:46 PM I have mailed payment of $95 to Ken. Jason owes Ken $20. I have mailed $20 to Joe. I have mailed $5 to Blake. I believe this wraps up my portion of the 2012 Commish job. Let me know if somebody needs to break Jason's legs.
3/28/2012 11:03:51 AM Jason has assured me that the check is being mailed today . . . 3/28.
2/22/2012 11:02:20 AM Ok, still waiting on Jason. Ken gets $155 Joe gets his money back Blake gets $5 and the 2013 Commish job Everyone else gets nothing! Ken, I will shred your $100 check you sent me and minus Don's payment I'll owe you $115 Joe, I will shred your $20 check you sent me.
2/16/2012 9:07:44 AM My payment was made directly to the champ himself. I know that eliminates the handling fee you have been charging but, its a tough economy out there and you are going to have to learn to work for your money like some of the rest of us... DP
2/15/2012 2:58:05 PM Ok, still waiting on Blake, Jason and Don for Payment. Ken gets $155 Joe gets his money back Blake gets $5 and the 2013 Commish job Everyone else gets nothing! So Blake you only owe $15. Ken, I will shred your $100 check you sent me, so I'll owe you $135 Joe, I will shred your $20 check you sent me.
2/7/2012 11:50:06 AM Armstrong, I need to get my check in the mail. Will do tomorrow. I can't believe I am commish. I suck. - Blake
2/7/2012 7:39:41 AM And special thanks to KS for accepting my $15 early buyout last week. I think having BJG whatever the hell his name is with the NE ground attack scared him. 7 more TD's and I woulda had it!
2/6/2012 10:09:53 AM Nice job Kenny. You have entered through the gates of Wussie Football immortality. BA, my check is in the mail today. Nice job all. It's your show next year Mizey. jc
2/6/2012 8:03:11 AM Armstrong, I just dropped my check in the mail to you this morning. -- MP
2/5/2012 9:02:08 PM Damn ... That's the 3rd time in 6 years that I've finished in 2nd place. Like the old saying goes ... Always the bridesmaid and never the bride.
2/5/2012 9:00:01 PM Congratulations to Ken who finished with 98 points, which ties Jason's record for most points set back in 2008.

1/29/2012 1:12:37 PM Ok, the $100 check thing was a scam. The extra $80 was supposed to go to MIZEGUYS.com for new writers, but only one of you fell for it. I have now received a $100 check and the extra $80 will be refunded. The actual ante of $20 can be sent to the address below.
1/28/2012 3:44:57 PM Special congratulations to Team Meisenheimer who has secured their place in Wussie Fantasy Football history as the 2013 Commissioner (given their 2012 last place finish)! Now we go inside the numbers. With the Giants (6 active players) facing the Patriots (8 active players) in Super Bowl XLVI, seven Wussie Teams continue to have drafted players (14) active, even though a few of the team owners consider their team dead in the water given the three team race for the 2012 title. Team Armstrong and Severud have three players remaining each with two from the NY football Giants and one from New England. Team Worley, currently in second place, has two players remaining both on the Giants. Team Meek has three New England players remaining however trails the first place team by 44 points. Team Holweger, Picha, and Craig all have one player remaining, all from New England. During Super Bowl XLVI, Team Percy undoubtedly will be personally thanking Team Meisenheimer for their performance this year. As both teams no longer have a drafted player active, Team Percy dodged the commissionership next season and hopes to “get better” during the off-season. Good luck to those who still have a shot at the title and in the words of Yogi Berra, “May the first place team win!” - KS
1/23/2012 10:08:17 PM RE: "$100 check made payable to: Brian Armstrong 635 Timerline Drive Polk City, Iowa 50226" I sent my $100!!?? What's with the payout?
1/23/2012 4:43:53 PM 1st gets $155 2nd gets his money back Last gets $5 and the 2013 Commish job Everyone else gets nothing!
1/23/2012 12:26:19 PM Can someone remind me of payout? Is it winner take all? BA
1/22/2012 9:19:38 PM The fat lady would appear to be finally signing Severuds song....
1/19/2012 5:54:39 PM In my humble opinion ... Ken is in the driver's seat.
1/18/2012 10:39:15 PM Inside the numbers. 62% of players drafted are guaranteed to have the day off on Sunday, February 5, 2012...38% of players drafted still have a chance to make the trip to Indianapolis! Of the 27 players remaining, 8 from New England will travel to Baltimore who have 7 players remaining in 2012 Wussie FFL. Giants visit San Fran with 6 players remaining on both teams. Severud and Meek both have 6 players remaining, Picha with 4, Armstrong and Worley with 3, Holweger and Craig with 2 each and although Percy has only 1 player remaining...in his weekly news conference he reportedly stated "It could be worse..my season could be over like Meisenheimer's [who doesn’t have any players remaining]!” Good luck everyone! -KS
1/18/2012 10:04:09 PM Can I use my mulligan now?

1/15/2012 7:47:48 PM Live by the Pack, die by the Pack. -- MP
1/15/2012 11:57:33 AM Nice breakdown of the numbers Kenny. I think it should be a weekly column. What a crazy game yesterday at SF. Is there more of the same today? Let's make breaking the 'No Green' rule for me profitable, shall we? Bad luck to the rest of you mo-fo's. jc
1/14/2012 12:02:17 PM Inside the numbers. out of 72 players drafted, 54 players remain. 10 players (3 with Holweger) from New Orleans, 9 (4 with Percy) Green Bay, 8 New England, 7 Baltimore, 6 Houston, 6 Giants, and 6 San Fran and finally 2 players drafted (both by Armstrong) from Denver. Good luck everyone! -KS
1/12/2012 10:02:17 PM Jason - I hate to tell you, but your 4-peat appears to be in jeopardy.
1/9/2012 1:21:59 PM In Tebow v Roethlisberger, Timmy threw for 3:16 yards. I predict in Tebow v Belichick, Brady throws for 666 yards
1/9/2012 10:22:08 AM JW - Its customary for fantasy sites to show projected point totals. When will that functionality be in QA?
1/9/2012 10:20:24 AM Odds that Tebow will out Belichek for the fraud he really is - priceless
1/9/2012 8:49:50 AM Matthew 19:26 "...with God all things are possible [even against a 10 point spread]"
1/9/2012 8:09:26 AM Thanks to Atlanta for securing my spot as next year's commissioner - JH
1/8/2012 9:34:40 PM Holy cow!! Those prayers and psalms that Brian recited during the draft actually worked!!
1/8/2012 7:52:43 PM I believe they got Tebowed
1/8/2012 7:12:27 PM Um, what the hell just happened to Pittsburgh?
1/8/2012 10:49:35 AM "$100 check made payable to: Brian Armstrong 635 Timberline Drive Polk City, Iowa 50226 " You mean the dues this year went down by 50%?
1/6/2012 6:46:33 PM All "fixes" have been applied for the draft selections. Please double-check your roster and let me know if you see any issues.
1/6/2012 1:13:02 PM $100 check made payable to: Brian Armstrong 635 Timerline Drive Polk City, Iowa 50226
1/6/2012 1:11:11 PM Thanks for putting the site together again Joe. Here is to another 3-13 season!!
1/6/2012 11:08:59 AM Today is The Day.
12/22/2011 9:30:29 PM Any chance I can go to a Howard Johnson's on a Saturday and pay a $100 for Meek to teach me how to win this pool, like those option trader deals? Who do I make the check out to? Stephanie I assume?
12/21/2011 6:58:45 PM We've had two 3-peats in the relatively short history of this board. I think it's time for a new winner. How about me? --JW
2/8/2011 10:27:54 AM Someone stop the insanity. Meek three-peats and crushes all once again. Congrats mee boy. You have now joined the JC Dienasty as a three-peater. But can you drink as much as the JC Dienasty? I think not. Although you are a soak. Lets talk late winter owner meeting at Rosens...
2/7/2011 2:13:43 PM Well, according to Meek's results . . . I was only two picks away from winning it all . . . Meek Blows
2/7/2011 9:17:14 AM Congrats Jason. And I agree with you. Brother's is a s#!t-hole. And it has only gotten worse in the 10 years since I frequented it. How was Tanzania? Did you summit that beast?- Blake
2/6/2011 9:31:25 PM Jason - Congratulations on the three-peat!! --JW
2/4/2011 12:39:29 PM Armstrong - send me your cash. I will need to give it to Meek when he buys booze and chow at Rosens. All you other MF'ers pull for the Pack to get shut down like Picha on a 3rd date. The Meek dienasty must be crushed. jc
2/3/2011 11:29:57 AM I am from Iowa. I am a Bears fan. I will ride the butt of a Packer. No problems here. However, I don't buy drinks at Brothers. I am still a committed fan of Rosen's(even though happy hour drinks are $3 instead of $2). If I win or lose, I say we have a wrap up party there.
2/1/2011 12:53:05 PM Green Bay Butt Packers have sucked the life out of any chance of rooting for the NFC. Except for I, the chief of the butt Packers, JM, who will shamelessly ride into the sunset aboard the Green and Gold. However, I will buy you all drinks at Brothers to celebrate another darkhorse team victory.
2/1/2011 11:19:01 AM Jan 22nd, 2011 - The day the message board died. You were a good board, but you usefulness was overcome by age and the broken fingers all members of this league. RIP Message Board. You will be missed.
1/22/2011 3:43:46 AM Greetings from Tanzania! How was the bar the other night? Can we do that again soon, like when you have to pay me my money for winning again? I may even buy a couple rounds since I have an overwhelming feel to give "back to the people".....j/k. Good luck all. See you soon. -Meek
1/21/2011 7:01:26 PM Here's this week's recap on remaining players ... Jason-7, Jon-6, Don-3, Joe-3, Blake-2, Matt-2, James-1, Ken-0, Brian-0. The way the Packers are playing, it appears we're gonna play 'chasin Jason' again this year.
1/19/2011 12:04:40 PM I wish I had an argument . . . what can I say . . . drinking at work enhances the work experience but can cost you dearly when you are picking for FFL ...
1/18/2011 2:30:47 PM It is good to see the lifetime stats for Armstrong are trending down. One season of savant is finally balanced by season after season of idiot.
1/16/2011 1:09:12 PM Percy really wants that commissioner role. I hate to relinquish the role, but if I really have to...BTW my two worse hated teams in the NFC chanpionship? Really?
1/14/2011 8:51:02 PM This message board is about as exciting as an Ozzy Osbourne concert. :(
1/13/2011 7:27:55 PM Here's some more useless trivia ... A total of 24 draft selections were eliminated last week. Here's the breakdown by team ... New Orleans-9, Indy-7, Philly-7, and KC-1. Of the 24 dearly departed, 3 of them were 1st round picks and 11 of them were selected in the first 3 rounds.
1/13/2011 7:18:42 PM Here's the recap on remaining players ... Jon-8, Don-7, Jason-7, Joe-7, James-6, Blake-4, Ken-3, Matt-3, and Brian-1. JC would appear to have the advantage, but half of his players are has-beens and the other half are dead from the shoulders up.
1/10/2011 1:12:17 PM btw- you are welcome Severud. I talked you in to Julius Jones and the guy got you two scores. That won't win you any money, but it may save you from commissionership. Hope all is well at the Male Enhancement Group- Blake
1/10/2011 9:26:24 AM Oh shit...Just in from a former Indy coach....Playoffs? Playoffs? Meek - if you aren't gonna be there on Wednesday, send beer money. And I pick when I score, where I score. I pick next week.
1/10/2011 9:07:50 AM Closed circuit to Don Picha, the games have begun. You may want to let your team know it is OK to score now. Of course if your team is like their coach scoring has always been an issue.
1/9/2011 6:31:44 PM Matt ... I hate to tell you but ... Your kicker (Akers) sucks!!!
1/9/2011 12:08:26 PM The Meisenheimer juggernaut got off to a fast start thanks to Brees and Hartley. Uh oh, New Orleans got eliminated. Hmmm ... I wonder if the train will come off the tracks now that his QB and Kicker are done??????
1/9/2011 7:37:57 AM Marshawn Lynch FTW! Just wait until next week for Taylor!
1/8/2011 10:11:31 PM what a load of crap . . . RePick - ba
1/8/2011 1:39:32 PM This just across the wire ... On Thursday of this week, a Sports Illustrated photographer captured a snapshot of Matt Percy dancing with delight after completion of the the WSSI Fantasy Football Draft. When asked why he was so happy, Percy replied "Can you believe it? I just stole Chester Taylor in the 1st round of the draft! I can't believe 8 guys passed him by before my first pick. What a bunch of morons!"
1/6/2011 9:04:58 PM JW, my line up looks great! Thanks KS. Good luck everyone!
1/6/2011 8:26:09 PM The fix is in ... Ken, Jason, James & JC - Please verify your rosters to make sure you have the correct players. Click the Draft Sequence link and then click Sort By Coach. -- JW
1/6/2011 4:13:49 PM

Third time is the charm.  Here is the latest update on Holweger's tight end.  The third TE he picked...

Donald Lee was a healthy scratch in Sunday's loss to the Falcons.

Lee, in his eighth season, has apparently fallen behind Andrew Quarless, Spencer Havner and Tom Crabtree. He hasn't contributed in the passing game since Jermichael Finley (knee) went down and is an inferior blocker. However, he could be "up" next week as Havner aggravated a hamstring injury

Apparently the guy is 4th string on his own team.  On the bright side he could be activated for the game moving into the coveted 3rd TE spot.

1/6/2011 3:03:18 PM 1/12? Sorry, I can't make Smothers Brothers this time. I will be out of town. Why don't you guys like to drink w/ me? -Meek Good luck to everyone who didn't pick the entire Packer team this year........
1/6/2011 2:56:02 PM ha ha . . . I would have loved to see Percy drink that milk and yak. You guys should have seen his performance at the Fontanelle bar a year ago . . . They were stunned to see the eating machine that is The Percinator!! Man vs. Food ain't got Nothin on this guy.
1/6/2011 2:37:16 PM Odds makers at Caesar's Palace apparently got wind of the WUSSIE Playoff Draft. Here's the early line: Meisenheimer: 4-1 Talks a big game but rarely backs it up. This year it's all his. Picha: 8-1 odds are equal to him getting a date this month Severud: 10-1 Kenny's back this year with a vengeance Worley: 10-1 Can you write a program to calculate a man's desire to win a cup? Meek: 15-1 All he does is win cups. Armstrong: 20-1 That Iowa air really screws with a guys head, huh? Craig: 20-1 What has two thumbs and loves to be the commish? Holweger: 25-1 Loves Bush (and I don't mean Reggie) Percy: 100-1 odds were better that you could drink a gallon of milk in an hour without vomitting through your nose. jc
1/6/2011 1:25:28 PM Good luck to all, gentleman. Joe - as usual - great job on the webiste. The winter owner's meeting will be held on Wed the 12th at Brothers. Makeup picks will be the main subject of discussion. jc
1/4/2011 7:53:49 PM The 2010 playoff rosters are now available on the site. Click the Player Selection link to view all available players. -- JW
12/26/2010 6:30:17 PM Thanks for updating the Lifetime rank page, Joe. One of these years those 2005 standings are going to surface like the dead sea scrolls.
12/26/2010 6:28:56 PM Oh the shame! A two time former champion and I am behind Percy in average point output? It has been a bad couple of years- Blake
12/25/2010 8:58:25 AM FYI ... The links for Previous Results and Lifetime Rank have been updated for 2009. I also archived last year's messages. If you have the stomach for reviewing old messages, click one of the archive links and it will return all messages posted after July 1st for the year selected. -- JW
11/17/2010 2:05:56 PM Time to start thinking about this again. Feel the Wussie power!
2/17/2010 2:18:40 PM Joe, are you going to update the Lifetime Rank stats? I want to know how it looks but I'm too lazy to pick up a calculator...
2/11/2010 10:03:06 AM I have filed my protest with the commissioner of something. Who kicks an on-side kick to open the second half of the frickin superbowl?? And I don't have a stsmp - Meek do you accept arby's two for one coupons in exchange for dollars?
2/8/2010 3:28:15 PM And the Meek shall inherit the cash. Nice job H-mo. Everybody else pay up! Picha, Meize, Armstrong, I'm looking your way.
2/8/2010 1:10:56 PM Wow, nice run at the end by the two contenders. Great job guys! Meek, we are now expecting you to take us all out to Franky's.
2/7/2010 9:36:33 PM The scoring updates are complete and the standings are final. Congratulations to Jason on back-to-back winners!!
2/1/2010 2:02:52 PM Whoever had the crack about Colston - reveal yourself so I can kick you in the grapes next time I see you. BTW - let's get those checks in to the commish (veiled 3rd person reference). Some of you need to pay the piper. I ain't syain, I'm just sayin.
1/29/2010 10:33:55 AM Yes, the working for Mike Tew thing might be punishment enough. However, we would all need pictures of Meek at the bi-annual Mike Tew barbeque invitational. Meek and Tew side by side in their "I love pork" aprons. Okay maybe not
1/28/2010 4:53:43 PM How early you all forget. I tried to draft 2 Kickers and not draft a TE. But, none of you(JC) would let me. There is nothing written in the By-Laws that says I can't do that; and then just pick which kicker I want for the year. (NOTE: My TE got me 0 pts). - Meek
1/28/2010 4:51:50 PM Agreed. Meek should be tar and feathered! He should have to work for Mike Tew the rest of his Life!
1/26/2010 10:49:09 PM ok somebody has to say it - the exact margin of lead is 11 points over picha - the same number of points Meek's second kicker got. When does picha get to pick a second kicker? He picks Indy kicker. (I like this JC/third person thing)....
1/26/2010 4:41:21 PM I have to watch the super bowl just to root against Colston. A Colston shut-out = JC commish again.
1/25/2010 7:02:19 AM I can't believe I'm saying this, but Picha has a real shot at the title. This could be interesting.
1/25/2010 6:58:50 AM Ha. Looks like once again I will put up a good fight but not quite enough to win the prize. I am the Vikings of Wussie football! -- MP
1/24/2010 9:28:24 PM My fearless predictions ... New Orleans beats Indy ... Jason wins the board ... You heard it here first.
1/19/2010 5:27:47 PM I busted outta the gate in week one and hit the wall in week two. Now I'm looking like a fool with my pants on the ground.
1/19/2010 8:13:50 AM I knew there was a mistake somewhere, leaving me out of the standings after the first week. Tried to give you guys a chance but now I think I'll let Mr Rice (not to be confused with the comeback of Jerry Rice) do my talking....
1/19/2010 7:15:13 AM I can't believe I am typing this, but Picha is very much still a factor.
1/18/2010 8:04:11 AM Thanks for getting the stats loaded so quickly Worley.
1/17/2010 9:30:57 PM It looks like we're headed for a 1st place showdown between Jason and Matt. If New Orleans can shut down the Vikes next week, Jason will have the edge. If the Vikes shut down New Orleans, the edge goes to Matt. And ... it appears that JC will earn another term as Commissioner.
1/17/2010 9:18:06 PM Here's the official tally of remaining players going into the title games next weekend: Joe Worley 5 Don Picha 4 Jason Meek 4 Blake Meisenheimer 3 Jon Craig 3 Matt Percy 3 Ken Severud 2 Brian Armstrong 1
1/17/2010 9:03:52 PM Wow ... The Jets eliminated the Charges! I don't think anyone saw that coming.
1/17/2010 7:34:27 PM Mize officially done. Kaeding!
1/15/2010 9:57:49 AM Week two separates the contenders from the Severuds...err the pretenders. Get through this week in the top three with at least three players plus your kicker left and you are in the mix. Go Purple and good luck everyone (not really)
1/12/2010 9:14:10 PM I'm not saying...I really need a Vikings/Chargers run to the superbowl. I'm just saying...
1/12/2010 3:52:55 PM Wowza. Blake, how did you find a picture of my dad? I wished I looked that good. Notice the crazy eyes that love to draft dead kickers. Did anyone else notice how many points I got w/ Rackers last week? I think there are 2 possible scenarios that could happen: 1) I win the league by 1 point and there is so much backlash that I am kicked out of the league 2) I win the league by 20 points and there is so much backlash that the league folds under entirely. Either way, you are all welcome. Go Fitzgerald!
1/11/2010 9:27:57 AM Wow, it is going to be another one of "those" years for Armstrong. Nice weekend for the mudbug king.
1/10/2010 10:10:35 PM I quit. I was wondering where I was too. I Still am. Something about picking Westbrook and Mahroney. Do I get a "Meek-over" to pick a real running back? Joe, please replace Westbrook and Mahroney with Terrell Davis and Hershel Walker....
1/10/2010 8:29:42 PM When did we suddenly become a seven-team league? Someone is missing off the standings board .... it's Picha. Picha -- where are you?
1/10/2010 9:06:29 AM Who the hell is Matt Stover??!!
1/7/2010 8:18:35 PM News flash ... Matt Stover update ... The Colts will use Matt Stover during the playoffs instead of four-time Super Bowl winner Adam Vinatieri, regarded as the best clutch kicker in NFL history. Coach Jim Caldwell explained the decision Thursday, saying Vinatieri had not fully recovered from midseason surgery on his kicking knee, and that Stover had done a "great job" since joining the team in October.
1/7/2010 2:44:14 PM I am glad to hear that Stover is playing. Without him, Worley might have trouble putting up his standard 49 points this year.
1/7/2010 11:39:34 AM Jason - That must be an old picture of you. You look a lot older these days.
1/6/2010 7:42:47 PM News flash ... Matt Stover update ... Update: Vinatieri (knee) did not travel with Indianapolis for Sunday’s game against Buffalo, the Indianapolis Star reports. Recommendation: He’ll stay on the active roster, but it sounds like he’s suffered a setback. Matt Stover(notes) will kick on Sunday and it looks like Stover will kick during the playoffs.
1/6/2010 7:33:39 PM The fix is in ... Jason's kicker selection has been updated. --JW

Report: Lockerroom Skirmish Injures PowderPuff Owner Meek

Jason Meek
File photo

In a bizarre story being reported out of New Orleans, veteran PowderPuff kicker John Carney reportedly "raged" on his teammates and owner while trashing the team locker room this afternoon.

The source of his ire?

Team sources tell TMZ that cross-dressing owner Jason Meek reportedly cut Carney prior to the team's first game and then bragged about it on a league conference call.  This apparently threw Carney into a blind rage that ended with the team owner's severe beating.

Meek was unavailable for comment, but his stylist/roommate choked back tears as he called Carney a "savage" and challenged him to a slap fight.

We will continue to monitor this situation.

1/6/2010 12:40:42 PM Say it ain't so Joe...

Colts coach Jim Caldwell is considering carrying both Adam Vinatieri and Matt Stover on the playoff roster. Caldwell admitted that Vinatieri's knee is not quite 100 percent. Owners in fantasy playoff leagues need to look elsewhere

1/4/2010 3:04:57 PM Die Nasty needs to dwell in the past. Those two titles are downright dusty. By the way, I broke my pencil can I borrow your neck?

12/30/2009 10:28:18 AM OK ... OK ... That pick sucked. But that wasn't the only one. We selected 5 RB's in the first round of last year's draft. Those 5 RB's scored a total of 3 TD's throughout the entire postseason. The top 3 RB's selected were shut out. Bottom line ... RB's were pathetic last year. --JW
12/21/2009 2:53:30 PM Flashback.... "WITH THE #2 PICK IN THE 2008 WSSI DRAFT, JOE WORLEY SELECTS...Lendale White" Stay hot Worley.
12/21/2009 2:51:23 PM I have just been informed that JC still hasn't paid for last year's festivities. Ironically, since Jason won last year, JC is actually pulling a Meek... on Meek himself. Interesting.
12/20/2009 4:32:00 PM Web site update ... The Previous Results and Lifetime Rank have been updated to reflect the results through 2008. Also, last year's messages have been archived. I will load the player detail as soon as the playoff rosters are set. I can feel it ... This is gonna be my year!!! JW
2/22/2009 1:20:08 PM BTW: you rock Joe. Love the site!
2/4/2009 9:44:46 AM Interesting that the only two who didn't pay their dues ended up first and worst. JC, you get to keep $5 and send $15 to Meek. AND you get the highly coveted commissioner role for next year! Meek, let's meet tomorrow for lunch and I'll deliver your bonanza. -- MP
2/3/2009 9:48:43 PM Wait a minute...I thought the point of the game was to pick the Super Bowl MVP...where are my winnings? KJS
2/2/2009 5:01:37 PM Wow. I can't believe I went from Worst Loser Ever to first. Even after Mize told me I had no shot whatsoever to win on draft day. Mize, can we get a breakdown of the most points scored by one player in a single season? I think Fitz got close to breaking that this year. I love him and his big hands!(Madden reference). See you all next year when I will be picking the entire roster of the Texans!!! JM
2/2/2009 9:26:57 AM I believe 2nd place gets their money back. Mize gets a push! In your face, losers. Sister kissing is so sweet.
2/2/2009 8:34:52 AM Not much drama the last two weeks. JM has proven that picking one team and all it's players and praying for a miracle works. All but 12 points coming from one team that wasn't supposed to win a game. I hope you are in Vegas right now Jason, betting the farm (or barn, wherever you are living) on Red! Thanks again for the site Joe!
2/1/2009 9:48:44 PM All scoring has been posted to the site. Jason wins 1st place by a margin of 41 points. Amazing!! Congratulations Jason!!
1/19/2009 11:26:47 PM It's not over yet. But, I am going to go ahead and say what you all know I am going to say. I first have to thank the big guy upstairs. My Lord and Savior, Mike Tew! With out him none of this would have been possible. He is the creator. The architect. The one who made us all what we are today.
1/19/2009 2:37:43 PM This is truly a beatdown. Nicely done Meek. It says in the bible the "last shall be first and first shall be last." I ran into a drunken JC at Cuzzy's on Sunday and he kept shouting that into his empty shot glass.
1/12/2009 8:37:19 AM Has Meek paid yet? I smell a technicality and refund to all players.
1/11/2009 10:01:02 PM Meek is leading after two weeks? There is something clearly not right here. Next thing you'll be telling me that the Wolves have improved ... oh, wait.
1/11/2009 9:18:00 PM JC is that you down there???
1/11/2009 8:31:39 AM Well, it's official ... Just six games into the playoffs, my entire team of eight players has been wiped out. That's not easy to do. Now that I'm done, I am officially joining the Jason Meek bandwagon. Go Jason!! --JW
1/9/2009 10:39:04 AM Anyone who gets four players through this weekend, has their kicker intact and is within 12 points of the lead is still a major factor. If you don't pass this test, see you next year.
1/5/2009 8:54:40 AM Everything will shake out in the next weekend.
1/5/2009 8:43:34 AM Has anyone ever won this thing after getting shut out in week 1? I doubt it. Nice hole JC.
That's what she said.
1/4/2009 8:02:48 PM Meek, that must have been you kicking for the Eagles today, pointing at the Dome roof after each field goal.
1/4/2009 7:15:55 PM Still leading after day two! I would just like to thank god. He is truly amazing, and he is truly powerful. Thanks god. - JM. And, Jesus. Can't forget about him.
1/4/2009 7:15:45 PM I don't know what all of you are pissing and moaning about ... I lost six f%#&ing players in the first weekend. Even Jason will have trouble finishing lower than me. Yikes! See ya next year. --JW
1/4/2009 10:04:06 AM I would like to apologize to the league for dominating day one. I know you all have an opinion of me, and I am clearly not living up to that. However, I would like to point out that I have several games to make my stoic plunge to the almost bottom. Also, I would like to thank Blake for the deliberate slap in the face known as the "Lifetime Rank". Anybody can draft players to score in the mid 60's, drafting players to score 1/2 as much of that year after year takes real talent. Also, can I get a link post for the following the topics: 1) Average slice intake when at OCB 2) Average change ticket requests 3) Average time Randy left the office down to the second
1/3/2009 9:12:25 PM Update to the web site ... The default display for this page will be limited to the messages for the current year. Use the links for the archives to view the messages for a prior year (in addition to the current year).
1/3/2009 6:21:27 PM >>The statistic anamoly that is Brian Armstrong last year will right itself. waahh waaahh you sally whiner. Joe, how is that code coming to block whiney posts?
1/3/2009 12:12:56 PM Tomlinson has groin tear Posted: Adam Schefter San Diego Chargers Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson has a detached tendon in his groin area that is so bad, doctors recommended that he have surgery this week, a league source said Saturday. Tomlinson’s mood was especially down all week, according to a team source, and this might help explain why he was so glum. Tomlinson knows he is not well as these playoffs are getting ready to kickoff. As much as Tomlinson is going to want to play Saturday night, the Chargers might have no choice but to shut him down to prevent him from doing further and more extensive damage to his groin. Tomlinson could try to play because he wants to, and because the specter of last season, when he didn’t finish the AFC Championship Game against New England due to a knee injury, followed him throughout the off-season. But if he plays tonight, which is looking more and more uncertain, it is expected to be difficult for Tomlinson to be effective.
1/2/2009 3:34:00 PM Joe, Please also add some code to ignore all posts made by sally whiners like the one below.
The statistic anamoly that is Brian Armstrong last year will right itself. This is the JC/Mize only pool. No one crashes our party. We fleece annually.
1/2/2009 12:45:05 PM Hey - thanks for adding that lifetime rankings BS. My story is still that I finished second every year and lost on a last second miracle play. And that the voice behind the curtain is really JC - Has anyone actually seen JC since he left WSSI????
12/30/2008 7:06:36 PM Another update to the site ... The display for the Message Board is becoming irritatingly slow. For now, I added some code to ignore all messages prior to 7/1/2008. I will add some links that will enable us to view the archived messages, but I can't do it tonight. In the meantime, the current messages are popping up much faster.
12/30/2008 7:00:13 PM Update to the web site ... I added a new link named Lifetime Rank. The ranking is based on the average number of points per season for all coaches, including the dearly departed. Kudos to Blake for putting this together.
12/30/2008 1:38:45 PM Jake Delhomme in round 1, Dominic Rhodes in round 2, Tim Hightower in round 3. Yet again Meek makes the case for why you should actually do some prep work. "drunk and stupid is no way to go through life, son." Matt, collect his money... Soon.
12/26/2008 10:19:17 PM Merry Christmas to all. Looking forward to next Tuesday.
12/12/2008 8:28:42 PM We need to lock in a draft date. How about Tuesday, 12/30/08? --JW
12/10/2008 2:56:29 PM

It is going to be a good year!
11/26/2008 8:32:41 PM Getting close to that time again... -- MP
2/4/2008 11:23:37 AM Fantasy football brilliance is hard to come by, but I think we witnessed it first hand with a thorough beatdown by the new kid. Congratulations Brian. Next year I'll be studying the Armstrong Cheat Sheet. jc
2/4/2008 8:42:23 AM I demand a recount. Somewhere there must be some hanging chad's that show it was in fact I that had Eli, Plaxaco and David Turett (syndrome)... JC
2/3/2008 10:46:54 PM One of the best superbowls ever . . . in my humble opinion. Somewhere in Africa some kid with a 19-0 T-shirt is lovin' life.
2/3/2008 10:04:42 PM Brian - Congratulations ... The Giants were a dark horse, but you rode them all the way across the finish line!! We'll all be gunning for you next year!! -- JW
1/23/2008 5:48:31 PM Here is the update on remaining players as we head into the big game: Brian Armstrong 5, Don Picha 2, James Holweger 2, Joe Worley 2, Ken Severud 2, Jon Craig 1 and Blake Meisenheimer 1. Matt and Jason have already finished their impressive performances for the year. My revised humble prediction ... New England will squish the Giants like a tiny bug and Brian will win the board by 3 touchdowns. (In case you haven't figured it out, I'm putting my curse on Brian the same way I did to James - Heh-Heh-Heh).
1/22/2008 8:43:14 AM Let me get this straight: Armstrong is leading going into the Super Bowl and he still has five guys active (RB, RB, WR, TE and the all-important kicker). In the history of Wussie football has this ever happened before? I think we are witnessing a making of history even greater than the Patriots' run. -- MP
1/21/2008 9:48:33 AM Well, that sucked (for everyone except Brian). That was one helluva offensive game plan the Packers showed yesterday. Good Lord, who is the OC over there - Bob Schnelcker?? -- JW
1/16/2008 4:07:02 PM Worst to first would be nice, but one must remember a few years back when I had three players going into the SB with a lead and lost. It is really hard hoping the Green and Gold get in the SB, but I am sure the greed will overcome emotion. - JH
1/15/2008 9:59:57 PM Here is this week's update on remaining players: Brian Armstrong 6 James Holweger 5 Joe Worley 4 Don Picha 3 Matt Percy 3 Blake Meisenheimer 2 Jason Meek 2 Ken Severud 2 Jon Craig 1 My humble prediction ... We will see a miraculous last-to-first place turnaround by James. He should slide into the driver's seat this weekend and then easily pull away with 4 active players in the Super Bowl. --JW
1/14/2008 5:19:31 PM Finally, I am going to be the leader of the suck squad. My 33 points should rival wost point production ever. At this time I would like to thank my loyal fan base for giving me the confidence to yet again be the dumbest Wussie FFL drafter ever. Many of you had confidence in me, but not all of you were believers. However, it takes the effort of everyone to make a performance like this happen. - Meek
1/14/2008 8:33:18 AM Who'da thunk (sounds like a rap song my kids listen to) Rivers and E. Manning would be the QB's left in the final 4?? And I thought Joe picked Lou Grant from his favorite show? And where are the damn stats sheet JC??? Not that I have much to add up on my team...signed Joseph "bid adios" Addai
1/14/2008 7:44:43 AM Congrats to whomever wins (not me). Stupid Jessica Simpson, why did you have to be so hot. -Mize
1/13/2008 1:02:44 PM Ryan Grant in the Hoooouuuse!
1/11/2008 11:05:34 AM Joe, you are correct. You are clearly in the driver's seat.

I'd even go so far as to say that if your Defense gets you two tds every week you have a real chance to finish in the top 5.
1/11/2008 9:54:36 AM Damn! This board is on fire!
1/10/2008 10:17:22 PM I'd like to share an interesting observation regarding the status of our lineups after Round 1 ... Blake, Brian, Don, Ken, and James (sounds like the name of a second-rate law firm) all have 7 players remaining. Not too bad. Jason, Matt, and JC (no, not Him, the other JC), have only 5 players remaining. Not too good. But there is still one coach who has his full complement of 8 players left. Who might that be? Yup, you guessed it. It's the guy with lower odds of winning than the Giants and Dennis (Look at my Hot Wife) Kucinich. Watch out boys ... The Day of Reckoning is at hand!! -- JW
1/10/2008 9:41:51 PM Ouch ... That was totally uncalled for. Drudging up memories of the 41-doughnut game is a cheap shot that deserves an unsportsman-like conduct penalty. That game was a nightmare that still haunts every die-hard Minnesota fan who ever donned a pair of purple horns. --JW
1/10/2008 3:10:58 PM The Giants and Kucinich both have about the same chance of victory.
Sadly both are much more likely to prevail in their respective contests than Worley's chances in the WUSSIE FFL.
1/10/2008 11:20:36 AM Joe, do what your heart tells you......However, I must remind you being that you are Viking homer, of the beat down that the Vikings took in the 2001 playoffs from the Giants to the tune of 41-0. So, I don't see how you could ever root for them w/ the lingering taste of embarrassment still on your tongue. Just saying. - Meek
1/9/2008 9:56:00 PM Looks like the Giants vs. Dallas is a pivotal game this weekend for Brian, Jason and Blake. If Dallas wins as expected, Brian loses 3 players (and I don't lose any). On the other hand, if the Giants pull off the big upset, Jason and Blake BOTH lose 3 players (and I only lose 1). Hmmm ... I wonder who I should cheer for ... JW
1/9/2008 4:08:47 PM Any early entries for dead last? I would like to nominate myself for this famed prize, however I do not think I am allowed. The BCS somehow has tie-ins and won't allow such a thing. I would like to note that I did lose 3 players last week in the top 2 positions, so don't count me out. My career in this thing has mirrored Sam Cassell's career(good in the contract year, but garbage the rest of the time)- meek
1/9/2008 4:03:42 PM Joe, i wish I could take credit for that post. However, that has the unorthodox tone of Mr.Mise. Good to see you still have players left after week one. Always a bonus! - meek
1/7/2008 5:13:27 PM Armstrong giving us the strong arm. meekster anxiously awaiting Homo's arrival. Best thing to happen in Severud's draft? He didn't attend it. Worley poised to make a run? Nah. JC puts trust in Psycho Ward and pays for it. Picha may have a shot at this thing. And I constantly turn down Pamela Sue Anderson's booty calls. Can LT carry Holweger's squad to the promised land? I don't know, but Garrard might. Mize better off working at Orange Julius, rather than drafting him. Matt, Matt, Matt, Gates isn't the only guy with his foot up his a$$.
1/3/2008 8:32:32 PM Hey Jason - Nice post. I was afraid you were going to post a quiz in multiple choice format. The Robbie Gould pick worked out pretty well ... He scored 27 points for me in the playoffs last year. Sadly, I can't say the same for my subprime mortgage. I'm anxious for the playoffs because if I win this board, I can delay my foreclosure another month! -- JW

Wussie League (formerly workoffs.xls)
Frequently Asked Questions

Q- I see that JC (3 times) and Mize (twice) are the only two people ever to win the league. Why do these other toolboxes sign up each year?
A- that is the million dollar question. Gluttons for punishment I guess. Founding members Percy, Picha and Holweger is the real mystery. At least Herda had the self respect to quit (he still owes dues but that is another story)

Q- Is it true that Shaun Alexander would have been available to Matt with his 3rd pick? A- Speculation had Shaun going at least 10 picks after Matt selected him. Matt doesn't realize that what Najeh did in that closet is what Shaun did on the field this year.

Q- Who is Michael Matthews?
A- All we know is he backed up Visanthe Shiancoe while he was at the Giants. This means he is AWESOME and clearly learned from the best. Best draft pick since "crisco-arms" Williamson fell to the vikes.

Q- Has a kicker ever been taken as high as Gostkowski was this year?
A- Joe Worley took Gould early last year right before he signed up for a 40-year ARM subprime mortgage. Both panned out equally well.

1/2/2008 8:35:32 PM Jon and James - I switched your selections for the 48th and 50th picks of the draft. That means JC now has Matt Hasselback as his QB. Personally, I think he was better off with the Dallas defense as his QB ... --JW
1/2/2008 9:57:07 AM Armstrong told me he was in and accepted the invite. I left a message with him this morning to remind him. -- MP
1/2/2008 9:37:23 AM Matt said Brian "easy money" Armstrong was a go last I heard. Matt please confirm.- Blake
12/31/2007 11:26:41 PM Based on the posts I have seen here, we have confirmations from the same cast of characters we had last year. Here is the list: Jon Craig, Blake Meisenheimer, James Holweger, Ken Severud, Don Picha, Joe Worley, Matt Percy and Jason Meek. Does that sound correct? Did I miss anyone? -- JW
12/31/2007 1:34:46 PM Let's git it on you clown boxers. We need Rugs and James in this. ING money seems to spend better. Matt, good job on the previous years results. My home computer crashed and I lost all WUSSIE FFL records...All I remember about previous years is me being in first and Picha last. jc
12/31/2007 9:46:07 AM After the pathetic (albeit expected) showing by the Vikes the last couple weeks, I'm ready for some real playoff football (as real as Fantasy can be). Holweger said he was in via e-mail. Is someone within the hallowed halls of ING trying to call him and Rugholt? Taking PrimeVest money is always fun (not that I would know personally, that would require me to WIN once).... DP
12/31/2007 9:11:00 AM Any chance we can figure out draft position early? I mean why should I scout Moss if I am picking 8th and will have no shot at him? Make it happen.- Mize
12/28/2007 2:36:36 PM I can't wait to take Trent Green w/ the first pick. We get points for career ending concussions, right? - Meek
12/28/2007 1:40:49 PM Invite for next Wednesday has been sent out to all. Also, some results for previous years have been forwarded to Joe. -- MP
12/28/2007 9:50:08 AM Oh and I am OK with the Meekster recruits, so bring it on--Mize
12/28/2007 9:46:06 AM I say we cap it at 10 and say the first 10 dudes who say they are in, are in. Armstrong needs diaper money, so we'll let him in for sure. That makes Meek, Picha, JC, Worley, Mize, Severud as locks. We have 4 spots up for grabs, first to post to this site gets them. Has anyone heard from Holweger or Rogholz (sp?). If Armstrong is down with the brown, have him post here. The new baby can wait, there is gambling to be done.- Mize
12/24/2007 10:11:39 AM FYI ... I am planning to wipe out the results from last year and load the rosters for the 2007 playoff season on January 1, 2008. I'm in favor of adding a couple of new players to the board, but it would be helpful if we could finalize the list of coaches by January 1 so I can update the site and avoid any issues on Draft Day. Also, please remember that the site currently has a hard-coded limit of 15 coaches. If we allow more than that, which I think would be crazy, I have some work to do. -- JW
12/24/2007 9:49:07 AM I added a new link named Previous Results and I copied the final results from last year to that link. If you happen to have a copy of the final standings from 2005 (or any prior years), please send them to me and I will update the site so they are captured for posterity. -- JW
12/21/2007 10:51:51 AM WUSSIE FFL rules! The more the merrier I say. Can we still get Herda? Meekster, bring on your home slices from I-town (I assume you're still there). Guitar Hero III is expensive. jc
12/21/2007 9:33:58 AM The recruits are fantasy stalwarts. 1st: My other buddy Blake from back home. He is curious, and pays on time. I am sure he will make many of the mistakes I have made in the past. 2nd: Brian Armstrong. A new pillar in the ING community and bitter angry man like yourself. However, I have no problems w/ keeping it at the original 8. (Even though I don't think I am part of the original 8) - Meek
12/21/2007 9:00:27 AM I think 8 dudes worked pretty well. I'd be open to expanding it as far as 10 if there is interest (TE may get interesting in a bigger league). Are the Meek recruits as inept..... errrrr .... I mean skilled at fantasy as you are, Jason? If so, we'll make room. -Mize
12/20/2007 8:00:59 PM I am in, of course. I have 6A reserved from 12-1 on M, W and F of that week. And I'm ready for my money to fly away like a birdie... -- MP
12/20/2007 5:20:39 PM Mize, do we have a full roster this year or do we need a few extra bodies to get the pot right. I know guys down here who would love to get into this league. Just sayin. - Meek
12/20/2007 5:19:18 PM I'm in. Oh baby am I in! I will pay my entry fee when I am up in the Twin Cities for the Cash Only concert @ the Cabooze on 1/19. Straight Cash Homey! - Meek
12/18/2007 9:29:00 PM I'm in as well...I'll be starting a new job the week of 12/31 but can work around the draft time scheduled. KS
12/18/2007 5:57:16 PM Oh, and ... Any day that week is fine for me. -- JW
12/18/2007 5:25:07 PM I'm in. I'll take care of the web site, but Commissioner Holweger will have to collect the entry fees and disburse the prizes. -- JW
12/18/2007 1:32:47 PM Hi - this is returning champ Mize again. You may recognize me by the fact that I like to spout off about winning one FFL title out of the 173 leagues that I've been a part of the last 5 years. You can't touch me, mostly because I'm albino and you probably can't see me. Anyway, let's all pitch in and play again this year. I heard JC needs Guitar Hero III. Let's do it. I'm available anyday that week. (Mize pretending to be JC)
12/18/2007 1:04:29 PM This is defending champ Mize. I am in this year and can do any day the week of 12/31 - 1/4 except Thursday.
